XmochiX Posted February 7, 2018 Report Posted February 7, 2018 It really upsets me that I don't seem to fit in with any of the other littles. It seems like all the other little girls want Barbie and Sophia the First coloring books and dolls. Today, I went out and bought a TMNT sippy cup and a matching coloring book. Not only that, but because almost no one follows the comics I always have to clarify that I prefer the comic book version of Harley Quinn over the Suicide Squad movie version. Are there any other littles out there who into comic book movies and cartoons? 3
BabyChuggs Posted February 7, 2018 Report Posted February 7, 2018 YESSSS IM RIGHT HERE! I completely understand what your talking about
Guest Arc Posted February 7, 2018 Report Posted February 7, 2018 (edited) This is actually something I struggled a lot with at first when I was introduced to ddlg. I didn't like all things barbie and pink and glittery, and I just didn't in any way fit into the stereotypical little girl thing. Not that there's anything wrong with it - it's just not me. I'm a science student and geek and I would rather have an anatomy colouring in book and read scientific articles or articles on new technologies with Daddy than anything else. And that's what we do. And don't even get me started on the Harley Quinn thing. In the comics she's a complex character and she's her own person and she's amazing. In suicide squad she's stupid and over sexualised. I really prefer the traditional Harley Quinn outfit and find it far more attractive than a top, fish nets, and tiny shorts. Edited February 8, 2018 by ArcOfInfinity 2
XmochiX Posted February 8, 2018 Author Report Posted February 8, 2018 And don't even get me started on the Harley Quinn thing. I, personally, didn't mind her outfit in the movie. I mean, I get that she uses her sexuality as a weapon, but was the bra shot of her completely nessecary? But the thing that really enraged me about that movie is her relationship with the Joker and how it was misinterpreted, imo, by Joker fangirls. To me, I saw it not as him rescuing Harley, but as taking back what was his. But they could have at least had a flashback of them fighting or something to show us what their relationship was actually like. I thought we might see more of their abusive nature in the movie novelization. So I bought a copy, but in the book Harley is totally 2-dimensional and dumbed down. If possible, I hate that book even more than I hate the freaking movie.

Insanity_Stars_Birdie Posted February 8, 2018 Report Posted February 8, 2018 Gosh do I ever relate. I'm a comic/superhero/fantasy/sci-fi/anime nerd and well pink and glitter have never appealed to me so you're definitely not alone!
Guest Arc Posted February 8, 2018 Report Posted February 8, 2018 I don't think they could get away with showing how their relationship was in the comics.
meows kohai Posted February 8, 2018 Report Posted February 8, 2018 It's okay to like comics and video games AND like pink and glitter. I don't see the point in making them exclusive to each other ^^' 1
XmochiX Posted February 8, 2018 Author Report Posted February 8, 2018 (edited) I don't think they could get away with showing how their relationship was in the comics. The people who made The Godfather got away with beating a pregnant woman with a belt, albeit off screen but still. All they would have needed to do was slap on a R-rating on the movie. If people are allowed to make movies like Precious or mother!, comic book fans should get a somewhat realistic version of Jarley. Edited February 8, 2018 by princess_mochi

I don't see the point in making them exclusive to each other ^^' I still love the color pink. I'm meh on glitter, though. It's more that I don't like having Barbie dolls and Disney shoved down my throat. I mean, I don't mind Disney, but I am annoyed at them for kinda turning into a monopoly. Plus, why can't we get coloring books that feature female super heroes like Mystique or Scarlet Witch? Why does it all have to be rainbows and butterflies?
Goth_Claudia Posted February 8, 2018 Report Posted February 8, 2018 I'm a little who writes and draws comics for DC, does that answer your Q? XDD 1

Goth_Claudia Posted February 8, 2018 Report Posted February 8, 2018 Ok, I officially want your life. Hey. my life isn't probably as NEAR as exciting as yours <3
xpaciprincesss Posted February 9, 2018 Report Posted February 9, 2018 It's okay to like comics and video games AND like pink and glitter. I don't see the point in making them exclusive to each other ^^' ^ This!!! I do love pink and glitter and Disney and ponies and princesses. I also happen to have a geeky side. Daddy and I are both great space nerds, love dinosaurs, MCU, science and experimenting.
Angel24 Posted February 9, 2018 Report Posted February 9, 2018 As much as I do enjoy pink glittery princess stuff, I'd take a Spiderman sippie cup, colouring book or paci over pink stuff any day! My very first paci clip was a Spiderman one. I wish all my little stuff could be Spiderman/superhero or video game themed! I wish there was more stuff like that out there for littles.

There is some stuff, but it's all geared towards boys. Which is ridiculous. I mean, Spider-Gwen is a thing, too. How cool would it be to have her and Spidey on a sippy?

How cool would it be to have her and Spidey on a sippy? Omg I want that now!! Hopefully someday more things like that will be made available:) I don't see much Spiderman or superhero little stuff in stores near me, which sucks, but hopefully I can find some affordable ones online somewhere:D
Guest LittleNess Posted February 9, 2018 Report Posted February 9, 2018 I love nerdy stuff, i love Sonic, marvel, dc, even rick and morty but its rare to find stuff with it
Daddy’sprincess277 Posted February 11, 2018 Report Posted February 11, 2018 I totally relate here. I'm a nerdy little. And tbh I hate the colour pink and that's okay. I'm into things that would be considered. Boy things, and I like to wear boys clothes but that doesn't make me any less of a little
Guest CaptainAmerica97 Posted February 12, 2018 Report Posted February 12, 2018 I understand what you are talking about. I have been a Tomboy my whole life and have had the girly stuff pushed on me. Until I got with Daddy I even hated being a girl until him. He makes me feel that it is ok to be both
SharkPrince Posted February 15, 2018 Report Posted February 15, 2018 I've just graduated a degree in computer science and have been spending the better part of a year planning a n entirely new mythical world for a dungeons and dragons game I hope to DM one day so yeah I think I'm pretty nerdy sometimes
Chicki Posted March 29, 2018 Report Posted March 29, 2018 I like princess stuff, along with serious/sci fi anime and such. Never personally had an interest in superheroes tho.
CrazyLittleBuggaBoo Posted March 29, 2018 Report Posted March 29, 2018 (edited) Batman the animated series is one of my biggest fandoms!((Original Harley Quinn is the best!!!)) TMNT is great! I also enjoy other shows like Street Sharks, Biker Mice From Mars, SWAT Kats, Gargoyles, The Thundercats, Spinder-Man, DeadPool, COWBOYS Of Moo Mesa, Not to mention Star Wars((Another huge fandom of mine)) witch I have tons of figures. Some lego kits, a coloring book or two. Handful of pez candys. Nerdy/Tomboyish Little Girls are differently just as many as Girly/Pink Little Girls Edited March 29, 2018 by CrazyLittleBuggaBoo
