Lola Step Posted February 7, 2018 Report Posted February 7, 2018 I thought it would be a really fun and handy idea if we could start a thread where we can share all things to do with littling on a budget! This could be anything from cool websites with free fames/colouring pages, great deals you find at stores, cheaper versions of expensive named brand products/toys etc; who else is with me? For intense I love the idea of Surprizamals but at nearly $8 each I struggle to justify buying them but today I found Wonder Pals at Kmart (basically the same product) for $3 each! 1
Guest Arc Posted February 7, 2018 Report Posted February 7, 2018 I'm more of a middle so I don't know many little things to do, but... You could buy some cheap ribbons at a dollar store and make hair bows, or if you can sew you could make pleated ribbon collars. You could buy some cute beads there too and make bracelets. You could rearrange your bedroom and make a little corner and decorate it with your drawings or something, and fill it with blankets and pillows and stuffies. I've seen mosquito nets come on sale for a few dollars, and making something like this with one would be cute https://i.pinimg.com/564x/76/70/e7/7670e713eae7b3524c37f7fafc87084c.jpg Just look out for sales in craft stores, go to dollar stores and thrift stores, and be creative. Pinterest is also an amazing place for craft ideas.
3Sparkles Posted February 7, 2018 Report Posted February 7, 2018 I don't know how it's like in other countries but in Switzerland we have 2nd shops, where you can not only find clothes but also toys, stuff for crafting, furniture, games, books, ... There you'll find amazing quality ribbons that cost almost nothing.
XmochiX Posted February 7, 2018 Report Posted February 7, 2018 Thrift stores are a great place to find new stuffies. And just today I stopped at Dollar General and got a new stuffie, a sippy cup, and a new coloring book all for less than $12.
Guest Dulci Posted February 7, 2018 Report Posted February 7, 2018 For me, poundland and primark! (You might not have poundland in the states, obviously, but I'm sure places like the dollarstore are good?)
Lola Step Posted February 8, 2018 Author Report Posted February 8, 2018 I live in Australia but I've been to London a few times and I absolutely LOVE Primark and Poundland! You're so lucky to have them close by
neko Posted February 8, 2018 Report Posted February 8, 2018 like everyone else's suggestion, the dollar store is great! I bought a cute baby blankie with a bear on it for $4! I also found a hello kitty cup / plate for $2 - $3 There's even sites like Wish that sell super cheap stuff from China. They always have cute stuff!
Angel24 Posted February 9, 2018 Report Posted February 9, 2018 I really need a topic like this right now I usually try looking for affordable cute things on etsy, or in dollar stores, or scavenge my favourite stores to buy little stuff for their clearance items Sometimes you can get really lucky!
Lola Step Posted February 9, 2018 Author Report Posted February 9, 2018 Awww I'm so glad to hear everybodies suggestions I love going to shops just after christmas or special holidays because you can get themed stuff for sooo cheap- i got a huge $10 reindeer stuffed toy for $1.65 I also love stocking up on cake mixes because they're like a activity/treat/reward all in one and cost as little as $2 plus you feel accomplished and gets to eat yummy food after
TimidLittlePupen Posted February 10, 2018 Report Posted February 10, 2018 I've bought lots of stuff off wish, and they have lots of little stuffs, for pretty cheap. They have tons of stuffies, and cute accessories, even some collars. The stuffs generally pretty good, but on clothing be careful of the sizes, cause a lot of the sizes are in oriental sizes, which tend to be smaller, by about two us sizes. https://www.wish.com/search/ddlg https://www.wish.com/search/stuffed%20animal Thrift stores are a good place to get, stuffies, and even some little clothes. For me, I'm a plus size little so I can't fit a lot of the little clothes out there, but I like to get little clothes/baby clothes and make them either into bibs, aprons, ect., since I'm pretty handy at sewing. Also if mew are good at sewing, fabric stores tend to have sales, where mew can get lots of fabric, patterns, buttons, ect. for pretty cheap.I'll post more If I think of it.
PyriteHearts Posted October 17, 2018 Report Posted October 17, 2018 Amazon has a king sized fleece blanket for $20, it's so big and comfy it makes me feel little. I originally bought it to cover up the sofa but it's so comfy I might get another one in a different color for the bedroom.
