Lauriex Posted January 22, 2018 Report Posted January 22, 2018 (edited) Hello, everyone! I am back once again for another topic! (this one is definitely not a sensitive topic this time ). My name is Laura and aside from being a brutally honest person, I am also a makeup/cosmetic enthusiast. Putting makeup on makes me confident, it makes me feel pretty and powerful too. But to me, it never mattered if the products I use are cruelty-free or vegan. As long as it works perfectly against my skin, I'm all good. Before I was a drugstore makeup kind of gal. I was an avid fan of Maybelline and L'oreal because they were the most common brands that you see everywhere in malls. Plus, they were fairly-priced and the products really go well on my skin. It was weird for me when my former daddy was concerned about the products I use. I was like "whatchu know about makeup?" He explained to me that the brands that I use test their products on animals then he proceeded to send me links for vegan cosmetic brands. Since then, I have been a supporter of vegan makeup. I could see the difference it made on my skin; it no longer had breakouts and it looked smoother as well. If you're someone who is currently in the same situation as I was, let me show you some of the products I use ---------- (We'll start with primer, foundation, concealer, etc.) 1. e.l.f Poreless Face primer - this primer is good for making the pores appear smaller and creating a smooth canvas. There's also a Mineral Infused primer which also works as a CC cream. 2. Kat Von D Lock-it Foundation - it doesn't really work well with oily skin like mine but it lasts for 8+ hours for me with just the right setting powder. 3. Kat Von D Lock-it Creme - this concealer is very lightweight and easy to blend. Just don't forget to bake if you have oily skin! 4. e.l.f High Definition Powder - this loose powder is really great for setting and baking. 5. Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade - this product calls for really artistic and steady hands. I suggest you start with the Brow Wiz if you are a beginner. 6. THE Naked Palettes - the line of eyeshadow palettes ranges from nudes to bold colours. I suggest you start with neutral colours first before going to the bold ones 7. Kat Von D Tattoo Liner - it doesn't really stick to your skin like a 'tattoo' but it doesn't budge as long as you use a setting spray. 8. Any of e.l.f's mascaras - basically they all have the same formula but just different wands. But nonetheless, they're lit af. I suggest using their mascara primer first. 9. Too faced Soleil Matte Bronzer - perfect for contouring and sculpting. 10. TheBalm Instain Blush - besides the cute packaging, the tone is perfect for a Southeast Asian complexion. 11. Jeffree Star Cosmetics highlighters - girl you wanna glow like a disco ball? 12. Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquids - his brand has a vast range of lip colours, from nudes to bold ones. I suggest you start use his Lip Ammunition if you can't be assed with liquid lipsticks. 13. Urban Decay All Nighter Long setting spray - this is the blessing from the gods. It keeps your makeup intact for a very long time. Even after a very sweaty and messy playtime with daddy, you'd still manage to look bomb asf. ---------- So that is all the products I use for a full face. Take note that some of these products may not work for you since every skin is different. Also, the price range between products may vary because I didn't limit it to vegan drugstore brands and mid-high-end brands. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a reply and I'll get back to you Edited January 22, 2018 by Lauriex 3
