I took a year of ASL last year, but I've been wanting to learn more. The best thing that's helped me was interacting with people who knew ASL fluently. That was a requirement for class, but it was honestly the greatest experience! Everyone was so nice and helpful.  I'd look into finding out if there are any ASL groups or get togethers and just introduce yourself! I'm trying to do the same :)

I learnt the alphabet, but that's the extent of my knowledge. I want my Daddy and I to learn though.

My little brother was deaf (he passed away when he was 3 (2007), but he is always in my heart), so I learned a few basic words that a toddler would use? Idk if that makes sense but then I started to pick it up again in high school, and have taken a course in college so now I have a basic vocabulary and know the alphabet in asl. I use it surprisingly often.

Personally, I'm fluent in ASL and aware of Deaf culture and community.

I'm learning the Australian version, I'm not hearing impaired but some of my friends are.
