Guest littlebubblebaby Posted June 17, 2015 Report Posted June 17, 2015 So Daddy's Day is on Sunday and I was wondering if any of you other littles plan on celebrating. I plan on taking my daddy out for froyo and giving him tons of my drawings and cards that I made especially for him. If the weather's nice I'd really like to sit in the park with him too. Daddy doesn't want me to fuss over him but it's one of the few days especially for him! Anyone else have plans?
Xia Posted June 17, 2015 Report Posted June 17, 2015 We don't have plans yet, since we don't have lots of money and our anniversary is on Monday. I wanna celebrate both days but can't think of anything for Daddy's day. ><
Guest Sae Posted June 18, 2015 Report Posted June 18, 2015 No. On sunday I only plan to celebrate father's day. We don't even do "Daddy's day" . Each of us have birthdays. Its weird for me to use a day to celebrate a family member for a boyfriend. 1

Its weird for me to use a day to celebrate a family member for a boyfriend. Same. Maybe if I never had an actual father in my life I would, or if our DDLG dynamic was different (like daddy was actually substantially older and was more of a complete daddy/caregiver/someone who essentially helps raise and grow in a more parental way) but with me we're very close in age and were vanilla bf/gf when we started dating and DDLG is a big part now but not enough to where father's day is something I could view as daddy's day too, but I think the idea is cute and seems nice, just not fitting for us.

We have caregivers day. I think it pasted. :3 which is a day you can use. you also can really just set up any day to celebrate DD/lg and the relationship you have with your daddy. For me I have a great relationship with my father and I also see a lot of ads aimd at the biological fathers so it seems a little hard for me to even think about celebrating my boyfriend on sunday as a daddy.
BabyGirlDumb Posted June 18, 2015 Report Posted June 18, 2015 MMMMMM, no. I don't think I'd be okay with celebrating "Daddy's Day" for me that is definitely a day for your biological father or step father e.t.c In my opinion that's where the line is drawn, I like PrincessSae's "Care givers day" I think that's a lot more appropriate, considering one of the stereotypes people in the DD/lg community try to stay away from are incest and under-age relationships. But that is just my opinion, everyone is entitled to their own c:
Guest CookieDoughDarling Posted June 18, 2015 Report Posted June 18, 2015 Oh, yes yes Daddy and I are going to go watch Jurassic World in the Imax theater ^.^ Sadly, the gift I got him won't arrive until after father's day =[ BUT at least I'll get to gives him a pwetty card I made . Also, I never had a father in my life, so I wouldn't say that celebrating father's day for him is a bad thing. He's the only father figure I've got or have ever had and I'm okay with seeing him as such. He gives me love, affection, discipline, and takes care of my every need, medically and non, and has for 8 years of my life.
Littlebun Posted June 18, 2015 Report Posted June 18, 2015 I can't see my real dad or my King on Sunday and I'm already dreading being alone.
The Perennial Princess Posted June 19, 2015 Report Posted June 19, 2015 I don't think there's anything wrong with celebrating your papa bear on father's day. My father and I were never particularly close and often had a distant, and complex relationship. He has since passed and my papa bear cares for me and provides for me in a way that my father never was able to. I am proud to celebrate him for this reason just as I would be proud to have him walk me down the aisle in place of my father. I wanted to buy him some Godiva chocolates since he loves candy but he doesn't wish me to spend the money. So, we're going to go for a picnic on Saturday and I'm going to make him his favorite cookies. On the actual Sunday, we will be celebrating father's day with his father, which I am also happy and proud to do. 1
The Perennial Princess Posted June 21, 2015 Report Posted June 21, 2015 I just finished my papa bear's cookies and papa bear really wanted to take a photo of both the cookies and of me holding the cookies! We had a nice long day out together today looking at housies, shopping, etc, but, papa bear and I both wanted to share our pre papa bear's day on the baby site. The cookies are 'outrageous chocolate chip' cookies which are easy to make and the recipe can be found here: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/outrageous-chocolate-chip-cookies/. They're peanut butter, oatmeal, and chocolate all at once! http://i62.tinypic.com/k4i8vp.jpg http://i60.tinypic.com/255ow1u.jpg 2
Guest Rainbow Posted June 21, 2015 Report Posted June 21, 2015 along with a few others, i never had a dad. so i feel comfortable making father's day about daddy. we're not doing anything too terribly special. we are having date night tomorrow because it's our last night together. also, i tell anyone who is a father, happy father's day. so happy father's day to those that find it applicable
special-blackbitkitten Posted June 22, 2015 Report Posted June 22, 2015 Neither my Daddy or my biological fathers are alive anymore so we don't celebrate that anyway, it's more of a sad day for us but we have each other to be with and that helps. We don't plan to celebrate anything between us though.
