What are your favourite stories for your Daddy to read to you?

Hello!! I'm super duper sick and ick with the flu and I haven't seen my Daddy for almost a week because of it, which is making me feel soooo saaad! Luckily enough my Daddy just read me a chapter of a book over the phone and it helped me lots.

My question for you is, what are your favourite stories to be read to you by your Daddy? I want to find a collection of stories that make you feel happy and little~~! My favourite so far is Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones, the one that the Ghibli film was based off of.^_^

I just love when papa reads to me.  I really don't care what.

Ooooh wow I love that book!! That's such a good idea! Have you read the BFG before by the same author? I'm sure you'd love it!! And gooosh that's so mean, but it's good you have something to look forward to! I feel your pain tho.

Hehe yeah, but Daddy accidentally read me some things with more adult content than desired today, so I'm looking for content that'll get me in the right comfy zone. :3

I usually fall asleep when we're talking in bed, so I really like when he's just telling me stories about stuff he's done/his childhood or about his friends. I also really love the story Owl Moon - I could listen to it over and over again!

My all time favourite stories are “Grandpa Toad’s secrets” by Keilo Kazsa and “Moonflower” by Eduardo Gudino, but I think this one’s only available in Spanish.

THAT SOUNDS SO CUTE!! I'll have to check that out! And oh gosh daddy stories are the BEST stories because they are always the funniest and longest and best! You can just look up at them as they talk. :D

Oh wow I've never read that one either, thank you for the suggestion! Why do you love it so much? And yes daddy stories are always the warmest!

I've been meaning to learn a new language forever now, maybe I'll check it out! They both sound so fun to read. Thank you for the suggestions!

I fall asleep when he reads to me.

I shout when I catch myself nodding off, cuz I'm trying to prove I was awake the whole time so that he won't stop.

But it's like

Daddy: And so Peter Rabbit crawled under the gate...

Me: OAO AH HA HA, DADDY. O NO HE DIDN'T ...

(-__-) zzZz

Daddy: Mr McGregor chased Peter with a rake

Me: OAO CHEESECAKES, I MEAN WH-

(- o -) zzZz *snores like a broken vacuum*

He catches on and ends up quietly closing the book and leaving, then I get really sad when I wake up and he's not there and I missed the story. :3

Oh, I totally forgot about “The Rainbow Fish” by Marcus Pfister and “Excuse me, are you a witch?” by Emily Horn.

Actually, Daddy discovered that last one a couple months ago when looking for new stories to read to me and I loves it so much I’ve been asking for it non-stop ❤️
