Guest littleunicorn09 Posted December 5, 2017 Report Posted December 5, 2017 I like to listen to dream pop whenever I need a good cry. To be specific, my go-to artist is Cigarette After Sex. Their songs are slow and soothing. It's a little depressing, but it's good. I also listen to Lana Del Rey, The Neighborhood, and a few from The 1975. What are some of the songs from your Sad Playlist?
Rebel Posted December 5, 2017 Report Posted December 5, 2017 Well I know everyone is different in coping with sadness, but my method is simply bury it. Thats why my sad playlist is all rock and metal, like Sabaton, Avenged Sevenfold, AC/DC, etc.
Guest SUeB Posted December 5, 2017 Report Posted December 5, 2017 i have no such thing. No interest in actively dwelling on negative feelings.
Guest princesshoneybear Posted December 5, 2017 Report Posted December 5, 2017 I listen to Lana Del Rey, The Neighbourhood too, aand Boyz 2 Men for comforting myself. But when I need to get up and being strong I listen to Avril Lavigne (her old songs)...
Pwincesspixie Posted December 5, 2017 Report Posted December 5, 2017 LUAV - The other Without fail I connect at such a level I cry
Heaven's Lost Property Posted December 5, 2017 Report Posted December 5, 2017 I don't really have a sad playlist, I usually listen to Panic! At the Disco, Twenty One Pilots, Fall Out Boy, Melanie Martinez, which is all my normal music. It just seems more sad or understanding after a breakup.
Doodlbug Posted December 5, 2017 Report Posted December 5, 2017 personally, 'How do you tell a girl you really like her eyes?' and 'I'm tired and I hate this song', both by CBMC (Cyberbully Mom Club) are on my sadder, more melancholic playlist..
Guest JayRingo77 Posted December 5, 2017 Report Posted December 5, 2017 I'm with Rebel. Rage Against the Machine, System of the Down, Assailant, Nirvana, anything heavy with a 'fuck the system' feel and a tossed scattering of classic blues like Lead Belly and John Johnson. Drown it out and let my head wrap around the patterns more so than the music or lyrics so I can sort my feelings and opinions into various compartments to better handle once I've calmed down. Usually accompanied by doubles at the gym or hopping in the sparring ring. Something about getting that initial aggression and hurt out in some physical way is cathartic and lets me face the grief and loss in a healthy manner. Don't talk to me until the headphones come out of my ears. 1
