Working out really helps me. Even when I can't go to the gym, there's videos online/yoga/ oblique work outs that are easy to do at home.

I also RP like no one's business.

When I’m super stressed I start reciting things that make me happy and calm and I think of the image along with it. For instance:

Seashells = seashells in a basket, on a beach, in a wind chime, ect

Bonfire = flickering flame, , burning logs, smoke

I have lists for different stresses :3

Hope that helps!

Exercise of any kind

Hot, soapy bath

Funny movie

Favourite music

Long, gentle walk (yes that's exercise, obviously, but walking as a separate suggestion is important here)

Yoga (same comment as above)

Stand up comedy videos on youtube etc

Early night

Screaming into a pillow

Stress balls (squishy things you hold and squeeze /pummel etc)

Talking to a close friend

Doing an overdue job/chore

Cleaning your house /room

Interact with animals

Those are just a few things off the top of my head

If I have to do something, and I'm feeling really overwhelmed and stressed out, I often set a timer for 5 minutes, and just squeeze a stress ball, relax, remind myself to breathe, etc. until the timer goes off.  When the timer goes off, I try to get back to what I was doing, and remind myself that it's okay if I need to stop again.

I also sometimes draw how my brain when I'm having anxiety attacks, and the results are interesting.  Plus, it calms me down.  I don't know if you really draw though, so that may not help you a bit.

I am not one to really stress anything as I am pretty much able to be cared for so I dont have much to stress but when it happens occasionlly I write it all down, every little thought in my head so it gets it out and lets me vent then I rip it all up and throw it away, then once I feel a bit better I can talk to daddy about it and he usually helps once I can explain why I am stressed and what caused it. Writing helps me a lot : )

SELF CARE!!! Here’s a link to a master list of things from the resources section. (Sfw)

Great list that I keep coming back to.

Also if you have trouble remembering to do everyday things (like eating) there’s a website I know that is a huge help.

youfeellikeshit.com

It’s basically an interactive flow chart. Can help during times of intense stress. Also, try meditating! You can do it<3!

I'm a bit of a worrywart and I find that the best way to deal with it is to get stuff done. Housework, finances, grocery shopping and the like. It keeps my mind occupied and gives a feeling of accomplishment. Good luck!

I have issues with stress and have found a lot of useful tips on how to deal with it x

If you know why you are stressed or anxious then its about acknowledging the root of your stress and following tips similar to what other people have said x Breathe, take some time for yourself, indulge a little in things you enjoy

If you are ever really stressed out and you arent sure why or can't stop overthinking the best thing you can do is keep your hands busy x small repetitive tasks help to clear and calm the mind. If you are out in public it can be as simple as tying and untying knots in a hairband or some string x at home I find painting my nails to be very calming or counting spare change Finding something small repetitive and calming and personal to you will be the key x

Also you may find yourself doing that task unconsciously and this may give you a better understanding of your stress and when it flares up

I wish you all the best and that life leads you into some good times
