LilBean Posted November 21, 2017 Report Posted November 21, 2017 What do you guys do when you miss your daddy? So it is frustrating on my end because my daddy is 4 years older than me, he has more responsibilities than I do (work and family life). At this rate, we might not be able to see each other until after the New Year (aka, when the second semester of university starts), which seems like forever from now. The more I think about him, the more I feel sad and longing. I miss him and I miss his touch, I feel like it is a drug and I've become addicted to it. He is also the type of person to not text during the day unless he is free since he doesn't want to seem rude towards the company he is around. Whilst that is admirable, it makes me feel really unsettled and uneasy. I don't know what to do with these emotions or how to get over this little bump. My gut is already telling me that we won't work out since I frequently think pessimistic thoughts. But Daddy keeps telling me that he does miss me. ...Any advice..?
Guest SUeB Posted November 21, 2017 Report Posted November 21, 2017 Not sure what difference a four year gap makes, because there is a 23 year gap here, and it makes no difference to how much communication we share. He is retired and i work and have three kids living at home, so in that respect, i should give him much less attention by your explanation, but i give Him tons every single day. But anyway, i text Him, i tell Him i miss Him, i write in my diary, i write on my fet profile, i keep busy, i just deal with it. i tell myself i am lucky to be in such an amazing relationship with such a magnificent man, and i am lucky to have the connection with Him that causes me to miss Him.
princessfreckles Posted November 21, 2017 Report Posted November 21, 2017 Journal! Put all of your emotions into writing if you haven't started yet. It can be just for your eyes or you can start a Google Drive document that he can read too. It could help you. Personally I find it therapeutic. It doesn't even have to be long entries every single day, it can be a short 5-6 sentences however often you feel like writing.
