Barbiedolly Posted October 16, 2017 Report Posted October 16, 2017 it is so so windy outside today and it scares me so much. i am currently in under my blankets just on my laptop trying to calm myself with cartoons but it isnt helping much. ive always beenscared of loud noises like the wind, a bus passing by, trains Anyone else?
GothicDaddy Posted October 16, 2017 Report Posted October 16, 2017 While I am not afraid of loud noises I do have a few suggestions, try putting headphones on they will muffle the outside noises a bit better than nothing at all. Or put on some loud music and dance. Really anything that gets your mind off of the anxiety caused by the loud noises. Hope the wind dies down a bit for you so you can relax 1
Guest littlelisafrank Posted October 16, 2017 Report Posted October 16, 2017 I'm scared by loud noises, too. The worst kind is when pots and pans get dropped onto the floor. It scares me so bad. It takes a bit of time for me to calm down completely afterward. I suggest distracting yourself with a show/movie, listening to music, or just going to a quiet place and meditating or whatever you need to do to calm down. 3
Lerainbowkitty Posted October 16, 2017 Report Posted October 16, 2017 Yeah, me. My friend doesn't know that I'm a little and asked me if I wanted to go to a firework display with her on bonfire night and inside I was like "OH my god no please no" but I said yes because I panicked and now I'm scared and don't want to go. 1

LittleGirlEmilia Posted October 16, 2017 Report Posted October 16, 2017 Yeeees...... There's a storm outside right now, it's that bad we've both lost our mobile reception... Thankfully, still have internet and electricity. Not sure what I'd do with the lights went out... EEEKKK. Loud noises never fail to make me jump >.< I'm currently on the couch with blankie, hot chocolate and cartoons on too! 1
Untwisted Posted October 16, 2017 Report Posted October 16, 2017 It is noisy (UK), it's going to carry on through to tomorrow I think, so get snuggled in for the night. Try not to worry. 1

Guest SUeB Posted October 16, 2017 Report Posted October 16, 2017 Scares of loud and sudden noise like "banger" fireworks, or a close by gunshot. Not that i hear them much, lol, just giving an example. But not scared of loud noises in general.
MrTeddyAdventure Posted October 19, 2017 Report Posted October 19, 2017 I am actually incredibly scared of thunder and lightning. When I was 2 years old, I remember seeing a large bolt of lightning strike an electric pole, and since then, I have always had issues with it. The fear became so bad that through my childhood I would get flu-like symptoms (nausea, vomiting, high temperature, chills). Thank god the symptoms stopped at about 11 years old, but I still have issues with hard thunder and lightning. If I'm driving and it begins to thunder hard and lightning, I try to get home quicker. I'm just not a fan of it, and my Daddy knows this so he tries to make sure my teddy bears are always nearby, and he will stay on the phone with me if I'm driving home from somewhere for long periods of time. There are many times where there isn't much I can do, so I just play the game my mother would play with me during storms. "God is bowling in heaven, and each time there is hard thunder, he just got a strike! See how many strikes he gets!" and I would count how many clashes there were. It helps sometimes. Hopefully I'm not the only one who feels this way about thunder and lightning.
