Guest McLeodLot65 Posted October 12, 2017 Report Posted October 12, 2017 As my profile notes, IRL I am taking care of a disabled spouse (and half the time taking care of her daughter who is also disabled) and also working full-time, which makes free time a rare and unpredictable thing. It's been like this for years and will continue for at least a year in the future, and means that, while I can easily read the forums and messages when I have time, I can't casually chat, as I don't know when there'll be a RL thing (ie she needs help to get to the bathroom). I would love to make more friends here, though, both littles and cg's. My question is, what's a good way to do that if I can't chat reliably?
GothicDaddy Posted October 12, 2017 Report Posted October 12, 2017 I like to use kik messenger myself, works on any phone or tablet so you can easily message people when you have a free moment. Otherwise just keep posting and sending messages when you are available. Wish you lots of luck and free time.
Persephone_Persephone Posted October 12, 2017 Report Posted October 12, 2017 Your life sounds very hectic! And socialising is important. I have a friend who I met on here and we have spent about 2yrs messaging on here and fb. We speak several times a day and she actually has been there for me more then my real life friends. Both being parents makes it hard for us to meet up. So I would say try and not get to worried chat to people who you get on with and one day it may turn into IRL meet ups. I'm always happy to chat too.
maxben10 Posted October 12, 2017 Report Posted October 12, 2017 if you'r capable of using your head and mouth, but still have your hands busy for taking care of someone, then you might consider using video/audio chat, since that you'll still be able to work but also talk, if you have a phone, you could just plug a jack into into, put the ear piece in your ears, and phone in your pocket. ofc, you'll only be able to do that if your work doesn't need alot of physical work, cause you can break your phone if it falls, since you gotta always be careful about that, but also, need to be in a place that doesn't have too mush noise for the conversation to be able to happen, so depends on your type of job.
