lacey bunny Posted September 23, 2017 Report Posted September 23, 2017 (edited) Bunnies: Wiggles their noses Play in the grass Hop around Eat/nibble veggies and veggies (List below) Oral fixation (they like to chew and nibble) Headbutts to communicate Are cuddly Like to hide under things Burrow (dig) Thump when upset/giving warning of danger They chin to show ownership Flop down for napping They "bink" when excited They love toys! What you can do: Pick them up Let them sniff you Give lots of cuddles Use nicknames when speaking to them Give praise Let them cuddle and nuzzle you Petting their head and cheeks Brush their hair Make sure they're well groomed (baths and teeth brushed) Lots of water (important to stay hydrated) Things you can say: "You're so soft" "Such a good bunny/nickname." "I got you you're favourite treats!" Bunny Facts: Bunnies don't like loud noises; so use soft tones Approach a bunny from the side and on their level (They're prey and things above them are scary) Bunnies grind their teeth when they're happy Bunnies will court by hoping in circles around the one they're courting Bunnies like to manipulate their owners and the world around them Foods: Apple Banana Bell Pepper Berries Broccoli Cabbage Carrot Cherry Fennel Kale Kiwi Mango Melon Nectarine Pumpkin Romaine Lettuce Spinach Sprouts Squash Other Foods: Almond Cookies Cereals (Frosted Mini-Wheats, Kix, Cocoa Puffs, Reese Puffs, Muddy Buddies, ) Granola Pretzel Bites Yoghurt snacks (like yoghurt covered raisins or frozen yogurt bites) Edited September 23, 2017 by lacey bunny 5
Foxcatcher Posted September 24, 2017 Report Posted September 24, 2017 Bunnygirls are very sensitive and easily scared. Be gentle and kind. Provide her safety and comfort. They like snacks and naps. Lots of hugs and cuddles. Give her lots of reassurances.
