Guest Prima-Donna Posted September 18, 2017 Report Posted September 18, 2017 I love crafting when i'm in little space, but i'm running out of ideas. Does anyone have any ideas to share? Please and thank you.
Daisy_Kitten Posted September 18, 2017 Report Posted September 18, 2017 Oooo i have so many craft ideas hehe! You can get craft fur from the store (If you're in the US, Michael's, Joann fabrics, or A.C. Moore are the way to go!) and a piece of craft foam, and make no-sew kitten ears! (with the help of a hot glue gun, just be careful! No boo boos!) You can get a package of stretchy cord (I recommend 0.7mm) in the jewelry section, and a few packages of beads to make bracelets for you and all your outfits! There are so many sales in the jewelry section most of the time, that is my biggest weakness hehe >.< There is always the option of a cheap canvas and some paints, I mean, whats dangerous about a little and paints? XD (I've gotten it all over my face before.....oops?) If I think of anything else I will let you know!

Guest Lepus Posted September 18, 2017 Report Posted September 18, 2017 Pick up children craft books from your local library and have fun.Or what I used to do with my previous Daddy was he kept old tin cans and we made up games with those. He also would cover the tops of them with paper and I could use them as drums. Or he cut out cardboard with a slot in them and taped it onto it and then I decorated it. We would put loose change into it, like coppers or small change. And then when it was full, he would remove the lid and we'd count the money. Get it changed and he would give me that money, to buy what I wanted. Like an extra treat. He also kept old small drink bottles, 500ml size and when we got to ten, we'd fill them up with rice, that was lots of fun. About half way up and then I would decorate them and he'd get a tennis ball and we'd play indoor bowling in the kitchen. Hope that helps and have fun
boomslang Posted September 18, 2017 Report Posted September 18, 2017 I'm working on a fairy garden! I'm making the house now. I bought a wooden bird house, and I'm covering it with tiny pebbles, moss, and sticks. I'm going to make all kinds of tiny fairy stuff 3
lacey bunny Posted September 18, 2017 Report Posted September 18, 2017 I suggest hitting up pinterst for ideas too! (ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ*) A few ideas: Make simple hair accessories Make simple tutus Paint or decoupage bangles Make a fairy jar from Mason Jars Hand puppets Get a lip gloss making kit Wall art I'm addicted to crafting When I craft in Little Space, it's typically crocheting or paper crafts. I'm currently working on a Little Space blanket for myself.Since winter holidays are nearing I will be making cards, felt ornaments (I love felties), crocheting my Daddy a blanket and scarf. I'm hoping to get a sewing machine soon so I can make my stuffies flannel blankets that relate to their interest. (ᵔ ᵚ ᵔ*)
Guest Lepus Posted September 19, 2017 Report Posted September 19, 2017 If in the UK/Europe there is an amazing site called Baker Ross that has lots of crafty things. I have bought from them in the past and some of the proceeds go to charity
Guest Arc Posted September 20, 2017 Report Posted September 20, 2017 One of the things I enjoy doing is buying clothing from thrift stores and making them into new things. There's a bunch of ideas on pinterest for that, and I'm sure you could make some of them into little outfits Pinterest is great for lots of ideas. Just do a quick search for children's crafts and you'll find lots of ideas. Some of the things in this post look fun http://www.bigdiyideas.com/40-diy-gifts-kids-will-treasure/
Guest Prima-Donna Posted September 20, 2017 Report Posted September 20, 2017 Thanks everyone for all the awesome ideas! I'm going to get crafting with all the fabulous ideas. I'm currently working on a little themed smash book.
Guest infinitecases Posted September 21, 2017 Report Posted September 21, 2017 Not sure if these are really little crafts but.. You could make cute polymer clay charms! They can get pretty intricate depending on what you make but the finished result can be really adorable.(You can also experiment with silk clay, air dry sculpey or just simply air dry coloured clay). Making it look realistic, detailed, not detailed, cute or not cute.. all your choice! You can resin pendants/charms as a way of preserving things you really like. You can do it with sealed stickers, mementos from somewhere you went etc. This can be a bit toxic though so wear a mask and gloves! You can also mix the two mediums of clay and resin to make cute charms too! I've seen lots of people making slime these days and apparently it's really fun? :') I used to like getting sewing kits with the sewing pattern already included so that I could cross stitch a picture without too much hassle. You could buy an embroidery hoop and the material to go with it to felt, stitch etc... a picture. Takes a while but the more you learn, the larger you can go until you can embroider tapestry style pieces !! I like to knit too. You could perhaps try amigurumi to make a nice teddy bear for yourself! If you have spare clothes you no longer want that are all generally the same material... for instance t shirts or jumpers, you can cut squares and make a quilt from them. Or you could buy material for that. It's really warm and can make a nice throw for your bed or you could use that technique to then make a pillowcase? Crochet little cup mats.. If you buy plain picture frames, you can decorate the sides with paint and personalise it to yourself. I would make little polymer charms to fit the frames, either floral or figurines.. and then place them around the frames to decorate. You can also make flat polymer clay charms and take apart a clock... and superglue the charms in place of the numbers of the clock. It can make for a nice personalised gift and something you spent so much time making!!
Guest Charlie Posted September 23, 2017 Report Posted September 23, 2017 I doubt the exact same kit is available outside of my country but we made these type of dolls with a friend (and one that looked a bit like Rapunzel) It's basically just felt made into a cone with a polystyrene ball glued on top of it and yarn for the hair. And then you can add glitter, stickers or ribbons on it to make it cute (or just to hide the mess you made with the glue, which TOTALLY didn't happen to us). And marshmallow clay (we used a brand called Patarev but i've seen some from other brands on amazon, available in the US ). It's basically like air dry clay except it's soft and bouncy like marshmallow when it has dried. Anyway, have fun with all the crafting =D
