My friend covered Matthew last year on his Instagram and Snapchat and will be doing the same with Irma this weekend. Honestly he is the reason I knew what was happening with Matthew right when it was happening. If you want to have quick updates I'd suggest that you check him out.

Also, of course listen to radio and news but sometime signals can get blocked and blah blah blah. Just a back information source. Everyone stay safe! If you cant evacuate most schools are turnning into shelters so find your nearest highschool.

As of right now,I am in the direct path of this one. Matthew was a joke last year. I am a firefighter and have worked more of these things than I would ever like to. If you are on the east coast of Fl go west while you still have time! This is not going to be fun! Good luck and stay safe!

Matthew was a joke last year but in some parts of st Augustine there was some massive damage im in orlando i already have my boat ready in case of anything goes wrong but it should slow down before it reaches anywhere near me good luck to anyone out there with the same plan

If you can't evacuate find shelter. Stock up on non-perishable food and water. Board of your house. Don't be too scared it'll pass.

We live in Charleston, SC. We're prepping and have an evacuation plan in place. We didn't get hit too hard by Matthew last year, but cities just a few hours from us got some horrible damage, were without power for weeks, and roads literally fell apart and washed away leaving people stranded from town to town. We're just waiting and watching and praying for those in the path.

I live in Lexington, NC, and we're prepping for the worst if it happens. So far it's looking pretty bad but I have my hopes.. and a plan in case my hopes come crashing down. Be safe everyone, I can't stress that enough. This isn't fight or flight, it's get the f*ck outta there.
