Iv'e decided this year I want to make most of my xmas presents. I'm thinking jams, chutneys (I have alot of apples going spare from my tree)Apple ring decorations and xmas cookies.

Any one else into this? Any tips or ideas welcome.

We're making hats this year, my daddy and I both knit so we can do it together :D

I always do homemade Christmas gifts. Baked goods, art, ornaments, anything I can think of that can be personalized for each person.

I hate the idea of adults giving adults store bought presents. There's nothing I can buy for anyone nor they can buy for me that we can't get for ourselves. Creative personal gifts or treats are the best.

I love love love the idea! I've always thought homemade gifts are super special but you know, I don't think I've ever gotten one :/ not a christmas one for sure.

The closest I can think of is Daddy putting together a computer for me one day out of the blue because he decided mine was too old lol, once our little monster is older I hope I get something from him, that would be so adorable :3

I wonder if it's too late to give crochet another try? I enjoyed it but was very bad at it, I always lost track of counting the chain thingies... any advice for something super easy or similar that I might be able to pull off by christmas? :o

I always cook so I don't want to give food as gifts too

You can get row/stitch counters on ebay , I use them when I'm knitting, they really help! Or try loom knitting, that's what we do, it's fun and pretty easy once you get the hang of it :)

Hi Poppins!!

I love this idea... and i agree with everyone about it being so much nicer to recieve home made thoughtful gifts and it's fun to make them.

I think I'll give it a go too... thanks for the idea and motivation ☺

This year I'm making plushy alpaca xmas ornaments for each family member. (my parents have an alpaca farm, and they're ALL about them)

Honestly they don't look as cute IRL as the cutesy drawings ppl do of them lol They're derpy AF

But I'm lame and can't think what else to do.

I wish I had skills like the rest of you.

Wanted to share some crafts I made for Christmas this year! They both got put into a family members stocking and was a big hit!

A snowman made of a white sock filled with rice and a kids sock for a hat!

And I especially love this one - a snowglobe!
