vendeley Posted September 4, 2017 Report Posted September 4, 2017 Random thought before turning my head to my pillow - Is it just me, or is there, or could it be, that the ddlg thing is very common/ popular in Japan ? thinking about the whole “ Kawaii” style they go about, everything is to be so little and cute…. it seems so obvious, I wonder if they all just act out their little side in public without shame, and that there is, in fact, so many of us. we just don't have the term " Kawaii" to "hide behind" .maybe I should move to japan. goodnight daddies and littles <3
TheGiftedStars Posted September 5, 2017 Report Posted September 5, 2017 I don't think their "kawaii" style is really related to DDLG even if the girls may act like Littles, lol. DDLG is a small community, so I doubt most Japanese people even know what it is. The way they act is probably just apart of their culture. But if you like being "kawaii" then its more acceptable I think in Japan! But doing DDLG affection in public isn't acceptable as PDA isnt tolerated as much in Japan anyway. I love Japan as well and would totally move there if I could too :]
Antoinette Posted September 5, 2017 Report Posted September 5, 2017 Harajuku fashion/lolita has been associated with DDlg because of things like Tumblr. It's a fashion choice, not anything to do with Japan's views of DDlg or DDlg in general.

If you look at common street fashion and style a lot of it is kawaii and little girl-like.
Guest Prat Posted September 5, 2017 Report Posted September 5, 2017 To be kawaii is acceptable anywhere ^^.

It's all basically the same thing in my eyes. And Lolita fashion is quite popular in Japan as well as it being quite little-like so that's why I included it.
