Little0ne Posted September 4, 2017 Report Posted September 4, 2017 Why dont people like the ageplay community? So what if we suck on pacifiers and color and watch kids shows, so what if we use diapers and sippy cups? We arent hurting anyone and I dont bring it out to my family I would rather just tell them and hope they accept me for who I am instead of throwing all my things away and then wonder why I'm upset!!
Antoinette Posted September 4, 2017 Report Posted September 4, 2017 People don't like what they don't understand - once you come to peace with that and stop expecting everybody to accept you and just acknowledge that a lot of people won't accept you you'll be happier. 2
Guest SUeB Posted September 4, 2017 Report Posted September 4, 2017 I have no desire to involve anyone else, outside of the community as a whole, in my personal life and intimate details. People don't have to accept and understand, and you (or anyone else) don't have to share it with everyone. Everyone has their own prejudices and judgement. That's just how the world works. If you feel the need to tell people, then you need to expect at least some negative feedback I'm afraid. That's true of anything within the umbrella of bdsm, ddlg, etc etc etc. 1
LittlePupRune Posted September 4, 2017 Report Posted September 4, 2017 I'm of the mind that while you don't yuck on other's yums, you also don't expect acceptance from everyone. People are flawed creatures and as much as it'd be nice if everyone accepted everyone else that is not the case. I also think that consent needs to be acquired from everyone, not just the two (or more) parties actively involved but the others on the periphery who will see it. (So in a dungeon there is implied consent since it is a kink-friendly space, but if you're going to be doing overt punishments in public you're involving a lot of unconsenting people) If there's someone you really trust you can tell them, but otherwise it really isn't something that is everyone else's business since they may not be as open minded.
