curlyheadspace Posted September 1, 2017 Report Posted September 1, 2017 I know exactly the feeling. I have to hide my paci and now my bottle too. Everytime my mother is back from work I panic like, did I hide my paci? I hide my stuff in a box and constantly am afraid if my mother will find it when I am not home - she likes to search through my stuff. I cannot even buy any stuffie, because I like big ones and she looks at me like I was a weirdo when I come up with the idea! So yeah, I know the feeling...

Guest ShyLittleLee Posted September 1, 2017 Report Posted September 1, 2017 yeah I know the feeling I have to hide my pinkies and bottles, but since I've always been kind of childish i don't really need to hide my stuffys and my ponies (my mom thinks i just collect the ponys and she wont say anything about my stuffys cause she and my other siblings all collect stuffed animals) so i guess im kinda lucky for that

Guest GalaxyGirl26 Posted September 2, 2017 Report Posted September 2, 2017 I don't live with my parents, but I used to be afraid that when they'd come over...my stuff would still be out. Then one day with my sippy cup sitting on my coffee table and my sticker chart up on the wall...my mom comes over. She literally saw my sippy and said nothing. Looked at my sticker chart and states "That's a really good idea. It'll keep you motivated". I was shocked. Obviously she knows I'm different, but she leaves it be. I feel fortunate for that. I'm sorry to those of you who have to hide it, though. it's sad to not be able to just be who you are without worrying. 3

I definitely hope that you find one soon! I'd still be pretty mortified if my father saw my paci or anything like that. He wouldn't be so accepting of my "unusualness". My bestest of wishes to you!

PrincessAnastasia Posted September 6, 2017 Report Posted September 6, 2017 I think secretly my mum knows, she found out I was crafting pacifiers and I have a load of stuffies on my bed. So I think she knows but she hasn't said anything. I mean at the end of the day we're all consenting adults, and what our parents think shouldn't really matter considering we're adults.
