Guest The Phantom Posted August 26, 2017 Report Posted August 26, 2017 Be it Birthdays, dance recitals, or as a thoughtful gesture, many are delighted to receive bouquets of the lush fleeting luxury. While the act itself is sweet, I do not like to get flowers as a gift. As a matter of fact, I am likely to act happy to receive them, only because I don’t want to appear ungrateful. The truth is that I find it sad to watch such beauty, once full of life, slowly wilt and shrivel into a brown crunchy shell of it’s former self. I do not like the short lived, preferring stable things that last a long time. Baloons deflate, snowmen melt, Christmas trees dry up, sand castles wash away, and flowers wither. Why must things be only temporary?
Guest Mittens Posted August 26, 2017 Report Posted August 26, 2017 I don't get flowers like that, I usually get seeds and pots and dirt so we can grow life together and sustain it.. Or perhaps an already grown potted plant, to take care of. But I agree, I don't like flowers being picked
