Little hasn't been in and out of little space around me, feel distant from her

Hey all, I've been with my little now for a month and a half. Ive been with one little before, but this time it is much more serious. Recently my princess has found out she can't attend college this year and has to wait a year. She has to move next month away from me, though not so far I can't get her easily. Once this all started to happen she was in little space around me less and less. It's almost never now, and as her daddy I feel hurt and unneeded. She isn't telling me what's wrong, though I know without her saying, at least with some things, I ask her if she feels this way or that and she gives me a sweet somber little nod and she'll cry. But she won't talk to me about things on her own. I hold her and tell her things will be okay and daddy will be there for her always but she is still despondent. She doesn't compliment me often, and I've not got to making her rules or anything yet because I'm not even sure what's going to happen. Can anyone give me insight? Or especially a good way for a daddy to reach out to a little and talk to her safely and comfortably for her? Any help is appreciated.
