Profiles Banned?

Afternoon all,

 

While I'm not going to ask for specific reasons for why certain people are banned, I was just wondering what usually causes people to be banned, especially Littles?

Underage or catfish are the most common

Being banned can literally come from a number of reasons. But instant bans are usually from being underage - and typically littles are the ones being banned. But a person can be banned for constantly breaking the rules, being underaged. catfishing, being aggressive, etc. It really all is situationally based.

Yeah I was asking cause I noticed someone I had sent a friend request had 'banned' on their name, thought it was odd as they were brand new.

More than likely it was that they were underage. We strongly advise you look at the age on people's profiles as that could very well be the reason. While not all underage members list that they are underage, some do. Underage members are not welcome here as this is an 18+ site. So very typically its due to the fact that they are underage.

Catfishing is basically creating a profile pretending to be someone you're not.  It's a tricky one to prove enough to ban someone on I would have thought.

My idea of catfishing is someone trying to obtain money or gifts,but not necessarily pretending to be someone you're not.

I think it is possible,especially for the administrators of a site,to spot people pretending to be what they are not. I used to know a guy who had access to very expensive crawling software designed specifically for this. Told me the results were stunning,and not what you would imagine; Females having multiple identities tend to not see what could be wrong with this,and think the males they are talking to are doing the same,when it's not the case.

However,drawing a line between acceptance of gifts and advantage taking is another thing ...
