Lack of Mommies

Hello all,

 

I've noticed that as a whole, there really isn't a lot of mommies in the lifestyle. When it comes to DDLG/MDLB, I'd say there are probably more littles overall. Though there seems to be enough daddies for the demand, give or take. When it comes to mommies, they are few and far in between. I realize that this lifestyle isn't for everyone, but still. I know there switches, but how many would prefer to be little most of the time, than mommy? I'm sure most would probably prefer to be little. I myself can switch as a little or daddy. Perhaps I'm stating the obvious, but it would be nice to see if there are more mommies? Or possibly get more mommies involved with the lifestyle. Note that when I use the word lifestyle, I'm not just refering to BDSM, I'm refering to DDLG/MDLB too. BDSM doesen't even have to be part of DDLG/MDLB, but I digress. So thoughts, suggestions?

In my opinion, it simply comes down to human nature. Women tend to be more submissive and men tend to be more dominant, therefore there is naturally a lot of daddies, a lot of female littles as well as a smaller group of male littles and mommies. That's kinda just... How it is.

 

I'm sure there are mommies out there who aren't too open about their mommy status but yea, they are somewhat rare I suppose.

I think you're right. You're just noticing that there are naturally less mommies? Possibly just a less common dynamic? 

I guess if you factor in that female can be actual mommies, that might have some kind of effect or impact when you factor in human nature.

 

Like any kink, you have where the masses tend to be, and also where the few rarer ones are

I have sometimes wondered what would happen if someone made a MDlbforum, if it would be the reverce of this site, mostly mommies and little boys with a few little girls as well. 

it might be worth someones time to do just that and see a whole if you build it they will come sort of thing might happen.

I think there would be more little girls there than boys. Like Antoinette said, males are naturally more prone to expressing dominance and females suppressing it.

yeah i kinda agree with wilderness its exstreamly diffucult to find a good mommy but its easyer to find a daddy or a little i would love it though if they made a mdlb page

Those are some good points. I didn't even think about the whole human nature part. Though I do agree that part of it is human nature. Though there are some women who prefer to be dominant or can switch. I'd also be for a MDLB page, though I'm not sure if it would bring anything new. Most DDLG forums have MDLB section as well.

I wouldn't say women tend to be more submissive, I would say women tend to be socialized to be more submissive. I think the reason that there are fewer mommies may also lie in the fact that in real life outside of the world of kink, women are also expected to be mommies to boyfriends, husbands and children and are overrepresented in support/caregiver roles such as nurses, CNA's, teachers, etc. already and thus don't find it appealing to role play it. Also the lack of created spaces for it. I'm finding it difficult enough to find good forums on DDLG. 

 

I'm a switch and I would love to be a mommy or be in a relationship with another switch. In my opinion being with another switch would be ideal because while i'm in little state i'd have someone to encourage and support me when i need to do big things but don't wanna. But having a little i'd still get to baby someone as well as have a partner to play with while i'm in my little state.

This is also another good point. I'm a switch myself, so being with another switch would be fine with me. However, I could also be with someone who only wanted to be a mommy.
