_littlekat_ Russian seems really hard :o that's cool! I love when people pick the more challenging ones. I studied Spanish back in high school but ended up forgetting 90% after I graduated ><

Monoceros- whenever you do decide to learn Japanese, I definitely recommend the Genki books to use :3

I lived in Spain for  a few years and learned to speak Spanish really well. I have lost some of the ability (it has been 10 years) but still practice from time to time. I also dabble a little in american sign language which we are teaching to my daughter.

I was learning Swedish 6/7 years ago, not sure I can remember much of it anymore. I also started learning German but I didn't get very far with that

Ola! I'm currently learning Portuguese and I know a lot of Japanese. I'm also basically fluent in French.

My boyfriend is Portuguese so it's quite fun to learn despite how difficult it is. I'd like to learn more languages in the future, possible Spanish and German but I'm focusing on Japanese and Portuguese currently. :3

I'm not a little, but language learning is one of my passions. I was studying Russian for one and a half years, and I've been learning Spanish for the last couple of years. Muy favourite "method" is the Michel Thomas audio courses + building your own personal "vocabulary islands" with someone who has learned your target language (native speakers are less ideal because they often won't be able to explain why some things are the way they are, telling you that "that's just the way it is," where as someone who has learned the language as a foreign language will be able to explain more to you.)

Next on my list is Japanese :)

If you ever need help with French or Japanese I could definitely help you out :3

I'd also suggest DuoLingo, I haven't used it for French or Japanese (I learnt most of my French from school and cussing at French people on video games/making friends there, same with Japanese) but it's fantastic for Portuguese, so I'm sure it's French and Japanese courses are just as good.

I've been learning small parts of multiple languages for years (Japanese, Korean, Thai, French, German, Russian) but haven't really buckled down and gotten serious about it (which I need to do) because my ex who we lived together wasn't very supportive of it and would make mean comments. I have a friend who had a bunch of books for languages that his ex left at his place almost two years ago that he's giving me because he tried getting ahold of her multiple times about it and she didn't respond. There's a lot so after this long I can't blame him for wanting the stuff she left out of his place.

my Daddy and I are learning Tagalog! His family is from the Philippines and immigrated over here 3 years before he was born so he has a strong connection to the culture but his parents never taught him the language. I also know a fair amount of French and american sign language

I only speak Italian (first language) and I have learned English a lil bit in school and a lil by myself, watching tv shows and movies in English talking to people and stuff.
