Princess/Kitten/Mermaid

Can someone explain to me what's going on with these names? I thought they were just pet names but seems to be more little tribes! X

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by tribes - but maybe what you are seeing are the Space the littles fall into? Some littles identify with being something else - a princess, a kitten, a mermaid, a puppy (like I do), a fairy, etc. And when a little finds another little who identifies with that same head space, they tend to gravitate towards one another because they understand the space they are in.

Or I could have completely misunderstood your question, heh. If so I am sorry! Hopefully I didn't complicate things more!

Is just different mentalities and/ what people identify as but usually kittens tend to be more pet like and submissive, princess are usually a bit more bratty and like to be treated like their name sake, mermaid has me dumbfounded

Mermaids maybe spend a lot of time in the bath?

I talked to someone who was a kitten once but she couldn't really explain what it was (apparently it didn't involve climbing trees and chasing mice).

I like "tribes" though, it sounds kind of cute, as long as they're not starting wars with each other...

I mean tribes as a smaller grouping of people.

Like they have something in common with their tribe ('Kitten'), but then a lot of tribes can still all live in the same country (Littles), continent (BDSM), or world (Humanbeinggsss) etc.
