Guest PrincessCakes Posted June 29, 2017 Report Posted June 29, 2017 I've looked everywhere but most tutorials show customized pacifiers for decor not for actual use. What kind of glue and/or clear coat would be safe for constant pacifier use and sanitizing by means of boiling?
Princesspoopybutt Posted June 30, 2017 Report Posted June 30, 2017 You could just use the self adhesive gems which are super easy 1
Princess_Green_Eyes Posted July 2, 2017 Report Posted July 2, 2017 I have experience doing this for my pacifier. Decorating your own pacifier is the best way to make it look exactly how you want it to and to make it more you. I sanitized it completely. I painted it with acrylic paint. You don't have to be limited to just acrylic paint, you can also use glitter, temporary tattoos, and even stickers. You need seal the whole thing. I used clear nail polish and it worked just fine. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. Good Luck 3
Guest daddy's_little_shadow Posted July 3, 2017 Report Posted July 3, 2017 I just use stickers and stick on gems.
kissingkitten Posted July 5, 2017 Report Posted July 5, 2017 Great idea bout the clear mail polish. I was wonderin how to keep stuff on dere.
Guest PrincessCakes Posted July 6, 2017 Report Posted July 6, 2017 Yeah I was thinking of gems but I'm afraid of falling asleep with it and the gems going in my nose or mouth, and also I'm not sure if nail polish is okay to have on/in your mouth for long periods of time, I was thinking of a food safe adhesive but when I did research it said for brief contact with food, I'm not sure if the glue chemicals/ clear nail polish breakdown on mouth contact ☹️
Guest Lace and bows Posted July 10, 2017 Report Posted July 10, 2017 I don't think nail polish breakdown in contact with your mouth ..but it tastes super yucky!!
Pup Posted July 29, 2017 Report Posted July 29, 2017 Oh I would like to know more about this! So I'm following
Princess_Green_Eyes Posted December 8, 2017 Report Posted December 8, 2017 When I decorated my pacifier, I only decorated the part facing away from my mouth and I only placed nail polish on that side as well. I agree, any form of nail polish near your mouth is a no no. Sorry if I wasn't very clear.
Guest lil_devil216 Posted March 9, 2019 Report Posted March 9, 2019 im wondering if modge podge would work im not sure but i think it could and would prob really help keep the stuff on the paci.
ChibiDallas Posted March 9, 2019 Report Posted March 9, 2019 Could you use super glue to hold the beads on? Facing away from mouth.
kawasaku Posted March 9, 2019 Report Posted March 9, 2019 (edited) I used UV resin for my own. It’s very hard to take off so once it’s on there it’s on there. I used a blade to score the surface to make the thingies stick better and then worked in small sections. For my UV resin I use a small gel nail lamp. To get rid of any stickiness that isn’t cured, it just takes some rubbing alcohol. To my knowledge this is the safest option since this is how rhinestones are applied to drinkware to be durable and not come off. BunniBerry Posted March 10, 2019 Report Posted March 10, 2019 I used super glue and flatback beads. Easy and fun. So far no problems with anything falling off.

Kikokat Posted March 16, 2019 Report Posted March 16, 2019 I use E6000 when decorating away from my mouth, I feel like it should work, super glue eventually falls off my pacis. 2
kawasaku Posted May 18, 2019 Report Posted May 18, 2019 (edited) What gems do you use? I've been trying to figure out the name of the pearly ones with the small dots around the edges.I’ve been trying to find the name of what they’re called too I even messaged a shop on Instagram and they said “sunflower rhinestones” but they’re still very hard to find! Check these sellers, but they only come in one size and I don’t know where to get other sizes Sfw https://www.ebay.com/itm/500pcs-4mm-AB-Multi-Color-Sunflower-Crystal-Lot-Facets-Resin-FlatBack-/252631135073?nav=SEARCH Sfw https://www.etsy.com/listing/658321828/4mm-ab-iridescent-rainbow-multi?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=sunflower+rhinestone&ref=sr_gallery-1-21&organic_search_click=1 Sfw https://www.amazon.com/Multicolor-Sunflower-Rhinesstones-Flatback-Decoration/dp/B07G7YHPK9/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?keywords=sunflower%2Brhinestones&qid=1558175470&s=gateway&sprefix=sunflower%2Brhin&sr=8-4&th=1&psc=1 Let me know if you find out what they’re really called and where to get more sizes! Guest TokidokiHelloKitty Posted May 18, 2019 Report Posted May 18, 2019 I've seen alot for sale with that "decora" "decoden" stuff on them, so I guess using that would be okay.

Ritz Posted September 16, 2019 Report Posted September 16, 2019 I'm so very happy I found this post. Just ordered my first big paci. Thank you!
kawasaku Posted September 20, 2019 Report Posted September 20, 2019 How do you score it with the blade? Sorry I didn’t get back to this sooner! You just take a box cutter or razor blade and make cuts to scratch the surface. I usually do like a cross-cross pattern. 2
