PerilousRainbow Posted June 24, 2017 Report Posted June 24, 2017 Hey fellow littles! I am not having an easy time finding good hair stuffs for pigtails and was wondering if anyone has suggestions. What I have right now are some hair ties better for putting my hair in buns that are too bulky for pigtails and then I have thinner ones good for pigtails but they don't hold them tight enough to not move around when I move my head. Daddy likes pigtails, I keep meaning to ask about buns. With my grown up job I have to do buns cause I gotta wear a hair net and never put much thought for good pigtail stuff even though I like doing my hair in pigtails at home even before I met Daddy. Any advice or suggestions are super welcome. Thanks in advance!
Daddybears PLB Posted June 24, 2017 Report Posted June 24, 2017 Hello PerilousRainbow ☺ Pigtails are also a favourite of my Daddy and me. I don't usually have any problems with my pigtails and i wear them up high. I have really long hair so i use both types of the hair ties you mentioned but i get the smaller ones for kids... they are the right size for pigtails and are way cuter..the skinny elastic ones i use first then i put in the thicker soft type ones over that which has a cute badge on them usually, i have unicorns, rainbows and of course cute bear ones too!! ☺ i love hair accessories so ive lots!!! Hope i explained it ok and that it's helpful to you.... i can be bad a describing stuff sometimes. Clairebear ♡ 1
Dada's princess Posted June 24, 2017 Report Posted June 24, 2017 My hair is really thick and those teeny plastic rubber bands are a joke. I have to have something substantial. If I'm doing high pigtails I use two bands. I wear my hair in braids all the time. Two big loose braids, the Elsa braid, low tight braided pigtails are for playtime and house work but they can be twisted and pinned up for going out. Play with it. Buns are a super cute idea! There are youtube videos that can help with different ideas.
Littlest_Bee Posted June 24, 2017 Report Posted June 24, 2017 Hello everyone, I think you'll just have to try different things. Maybe some clips could help with the moving around? It's really hard to know just from a written description. Good luck!
PerilousRainbow Posted June 24, 2017 Author Report Posted June 24, 2017 (edited) Thanks everybody! When I was in my actual childhood I was in ballet and cheerleading and my hair was so thick we had to get it thinned like three times a year for my gram to be able to put it up properly. My hair also does it's own thing so that never helped. I may have found some hair ties in the house that are in between the two kinds I have which would be awesome if I can find more at the store. I'm also letting my hair grow long for the first time in years and the longer it grows the more fun I have with trying to tame it >_< Edited June 24, 2017 by PerilousRainbow 1
LovesSparkles Posted June 25, 2017 Report Posted June 25, 2017 I have thick hair, so I usually have to use a reg elastic band for my pigtails, but you can cover that with a cute band or a pretty ribbon. Try a craft store for some cute ribbon and cut your own.
