A few of you guys should know that I really want calico Critters, I've been wanting them for about a year now, and I've started to make a board on pinterest to pin them on.

If you had one, what kind of house do you want to do? Do you want to buy all the pieces, or would you rather DiY some stuff?

I have loved these things since I was a child! I'd love to start collecting them again. OwO

 

Tbh right now I'm torn between a cat family and a deer family, I will worry about getting a house when I have a little family to put it in. >w<

Those are the two families I want. :3 Right now I think I'm going to get the cute deer family first, and then the cat family. I have both on my wishlist so maybe I'll luck out and get both.

I love Calico Critters! They are so cute! I keep looking at them in Toys stores. I don't have any yet, but I hope I'll have some one day. I had a few of them when I was a child but I sadly don't have them anymore.

If I had to choose a family, I'd probably get a cat family, a bunny family, or a bear family. I really like the Twins so I would probably start by getting a set of those.

The babies are the cutest! I love them and all their accessories, especially the cute little pacis and baby bottles.

I guess I would like to get a house too but they're really expensive.

I'd love to get a nursery set and I really like Sophie's Love 'n Care set:

I'm not sure about amazon for your area, but I've looked on my amazon, and its cheaper to order the toys on amazon, than to buy them in person. <3

 

Also those families sound adorable. I think I've seen the bear one! They're cute too. >3> I'm going to stick to my cat and deer for now! But all the families are cute. I wish they had a sea animal family. Like Otters or something. That would be cute.

 

I love the babies too. And I love their little play sets. >W<

Duh, they have a sea otter family. (The duh is at me, not you.) haha, I feel so silly. :3

 

Your welcome. :3  I have my wishlist on amazon for that right now. :3  I think you also can see them sometimes at second hand shops too. So check those places, and its starting to become summer so yard sale season too. :3

Flomp! I have the bear family, but my dollhouse, which was not Calico Critters, died. I have to get them a new place to live. They say they're not fans of the shoe box. (*weeps* My efforts!)

I would go for an enchanted forest/fairytale theme with bunnies or deer or little bears or all of them hehe <3 I would DiY some things, but knowing me I'm not too crafty.

D'aw. I hope they get a new home soon! I think they should be happy with the shoe box. They at least have a home. A home is better than no home at all! *gives you sea shells so you can make a seashell house for them. )

I'm planning on DIY'ing some stuff. I know you also can find doll house print outs. (for normal doll houses) and use that as decoration. Don't feel bad. IF you wanna DIY, do it to what you know how, and don't be scared to try other things. It would be your doll house after all, and I'm sure your little critters would still love it. because your work is shown. And as long as you like what you make, thats all that matters. :3

 

I have a bunch of plans for my house when I can get it. Along with my critters.  XD I want the bear family too. Gah. There so cute. Everything is so cute. *dies*

After the discussion we had on the chat about the animes of Calico Critters, I made some researches and I discover a third type of figures : The Forest Families (http://mapletown.tripod.com/genuine.html).

 

To resume there are 3 types of figures :

- Calico Critters / Sylvanian Families

- Maple Town

- Forest Families

 

And 2 animes :

- Calico Critters

- Maple Town

 

A lot of little figures friends in perspective
