jrcphoenix Posted June 22, 2017 Report Posted June 22, 2017 Hi, I have been with my wife for a year now and knew about her past ddlg relationships. She has explained this to me as a part of her and something she needs as well as a for of therapy for her. She has not been in one since she has been with me but recently expressed a desire to see her daddy again. We discussed it and I agreed to it because her happiness is so important to me. We have decided on a basic agreement and some rules. I know little about this I want to understand and feel safe and secure. I am discussing it with her and am reading and trying to understand as fast as I can. I would like any and all advice on how to do this properly so we can all feel comfortable, makes this work, and have this be a positive thing our lives. 1
LittlePupRune Posted June 22, 2017 Report Posted June 22, 2017 Hi! I would suggest reading the posts on poly relationships. You can do a search for those and find some that deal with managing emotions in a poly relationship as well as other helpful things for that situation. As for understanding cg/l, one of the best things is to go through the threads and read the ones that you're interested in or you think would help. If something confuses you, go ahead and ask questions, the people on here are pretty good at answering. 1

DarkAvatar Posted June 25, 2017 Report Posted June 25, 2017 Highly recommended reading the book More Than Two. It will help you avoid common mistakes and give you ways to structure things in a stable way. These types of poly relationships are just as stable as mono relationships, as long as the right guidelines are followed.
