Is it okay in public?

  So, i've been struggling with this. 

I have social anxiety, my binky comforts me a lot, so does holding daddys arm, but if i'm out in public, is it okay for me to suck my binky in public? He doesn't seem to mind much, especially in the car.

Are there other passengers in the car? ...  I think having a binkie with people around is Ok if these people knows you are little and like you for this. Strangers might think it is weird. It is up to you.

 

In the car.. if alone or with your daddy, I think people wont notice you. Maybe kids will see you cause they look into others cars. Maybe people will notice more if you are driving in traffic jam. But that is pretty much it. I use my binkie when Driving and it helps me be more Awake, happy and relax. People could not care less.  It is Way Better to be a relax driver with a binkie, than a angry annoying distracted impulsive driver with No binkie ...    

 

Other public space ... I dont know ..  I'd say Etiquette (Main social rules) is against it and uses of pacifiers is intented for young preschool kids. Then, many people in life dont respect these rules and are not evil anyway.  You always can say it's helping you feel better and avoid smoking or biting your nails.

Honestly it's up to you and your comfort level on how people may view you or if you will receive negative comments out in public. I myself have social anxiety, although I'm getting a bit better now, I still worry how people view me while I'm out in public. Personally I would be more anxious having to worry about what people would think using my paci in public than having my paci to comfort me while I'm out.

 

If I were to see anyone out in public I wouldn't really have an issue at all but you'll always come across an individual who will make a comment.

I would just take time to think about if being seen in public using your binkie would give you more anxiety than comfort. But if you don't care what people think, then go for it!!

If you trust your daddy and he said it's cool as long as your comfortable and you are then horrayyy!!! But people are jerks for the most part so I agree with the other poster that said you can say it is to stop smoking or somethings like that. I have also been wondering how comfortable I would be having daddy take me to the zoo, what my boundaries would be and how does one push down that euphoric joy, giggled filled joy when in your little space and want to jump up on your daddy. How would I react to people saying mean things and such........something to think about.......................................

If you're not doing it in an immensely populated area and just the car that's fine.

You have to remember that DD/lg is a part of BDSM though and therefore bringing it into public is bringing it into places where people can't consent to what they're seeing/what's happening - even if DD/lg is completely non-sexual for you.

This. I don't think it's okay to bring your DDLG out into public spaces, where people who are passing by on their daily business are essentially being exposed to it without the ability to provide consent beforehand. Better to leave it at home, unless you're out in the middle of nowhere

I completely understand its something not everyone wants to see. But I think a few things can be ok in public. I'm almost 24/7 little and also in public. I wear my collar, talk in a baby voice and walk around with my teddy bear. Its not against the law to walk around wearing a collar or having a teddy bear in your hands. I don't push it into anyone's face and I keep it mild. I don't walk around while wearing only a diaper or with a leash. No one actually seems to bother that I'm being little in public.

 

Being little outside makes me feel a lot more safe, in my own bubble. I tend to have panic attacks when I go outside but when I'm little its a lot less worse.

I've always used my paci and sippy cup and stuff in public, I do what makes me comfortable and others' opinions don't matter to me. Anyway, there are so many strange people where I live that everyone's like that.(San Francisco, California)

Yup yup as long as daddy is ok with it. My daddy let's me but the exception is on his base I can't and on base I can't call him daddy

To check with societal rules, do what makes YOU happy. If other people have a problem with it, they can just not look.

I was so nervous i was the only one like this. I am ALWAYS in little modex i stomp and shake my head like a bratty child. I cary around my bears and listen/mumble sing disney songs. I have almost crippling social anxiety, i cant do anything in pubkic without some kind of buffer or I could pass out.

 

Its really comforting to know im not the only little in public.

 

Note* I do not regress very far when in public. I am very small for my age, so more often then not im mistaken for an actual child, so i often have to be careful as not to get stopped and "questioned".
