Hey!

Im in a LDR with my Daddy and just got back from spending a few days with him. They were lovely, we had a nice time and he's been really helpful and caring around a few personal problems I've had recently. Anyway, he's had a really really bad day and is very upset, I'm not sure what about but doesn't want to talk about it. I intend on giving him space to figure what has gotten him so down but I feel really helpless and just want to make things better but I don't know how without being there? I just feel really useless and want to help him like he helps me :(  Any suggestions?

He probably just feels really down from not having you around anymore. I'd say you give him the space he needs, while continously insist that he shares and opens up. You know, don't be to pushy, but don't give in either. He needs to share when he makes you worry and he really needs to understand that. But you just as well need to understand that daddy's and mommy's can feel just as sad and depressed as we can after not being around each other anymore.

Yeah maybe, I'm just worried I guess. You're advice is really useful though, thank you!

I think maybe sending him a nice message saying that you've noticed he's been feeling down and upset and saying that he doesn't need to tell you whats up but let him know that you're there for him like he is for you if and when he's ready to talk about it :)

I hope everything gets better for you too

Yeah I did that, we still haven't discussed what was wrong but I'm not pushing him. He's a little happier today so that's good, I want to do something cute since I'm not going to see him for a while. Maybe send a cute short little decorated note/ letter in the post something he won't expect

Thanks! I'm okay, I get a little sad when he's busy but I just need to try and keep myself busy too x
