Daddylovesme Posted May 4, 2017 Report Posted May 4, 2017 So I need little friendly foods that are vegan! (As the title states p much). Please put recipes and a picture if possible, similar to the thread thats pinned in the littlespace forum section. (this section) Its been tough getting into littlespace since I dont eat diary/meat etc, and it feels like all the little foods have some kind of milk or animal product in them. HELP!
Pup Posted May 4, 2017 Report Posted May 4, 2017 (edited) Oreo's, vanilla soy yoghurt, soy banana milk, different kind of dairy free icecream or homemade nicecream, in The Netherlands we have vegan rice crackers with chocolate on it or raisins. You can also crumble oreo's over soy yoghurt or put the soy banana milk (I call it banana milkies) in a bottle. Because I live in The Netherlands, I only know (mostly) Dutch products. I hope this is still a bit useful for you! xx icetea Edited May 4, 2017 by Icetea
Bunny Flick Posted May 5, 2017 Report Posted May 5, 2017 Oreos aren't vegan here in the UK if you also try and avoid things that "May contain milk". But there are so many cute snacks that are made specifically vegan, or are accidentally so. I can't think of recipes right now, but if you go on YouTube, there are a lot of vegan recipes. Failing that, cutting up fruit or veggies into sticks and having them with salsa or vegan ketchup or apple sauce or vegan yoghurt or something can be fun.
Pup Posted May 6, 2017 Report Posted May 6, 2017 Oh! You can also prick the little pieces of fruit onto a wooden or bamboo skewer. I think that is cute. Like grapes, strawberries, pineapple or other fruit.
Guest Just-littlebabygirl Posted May 8, 2017 Report Posted May 8, 2017 Oooooh we just bought Nutter Butters, fruit rollups/fruit by the foot, store brand vanilla creme wafers, apple juice, Capri sun. Ummmm. And pineapple! I've been vegan for almost 5 yrs and my Daddy has started his transition to it as well P.s. I don't pay any mind to "may contain" bc that just means it's shared equipment.

Pup Posted May 8, 2017 Report Posted May 8, 2017 Hi Little_smurf, Nice to see more dutchies here! The rice cakes are from the supermarket named lidl. The brand is called sondey and I've picked the dark chocolate ones. I hope you can find them! xx Iceatea

The brand is called sondey and I've picked the dark chocolate ones. I hope you can find them! xx Iceatea Thank you! I think I actually saw them a few times but I didn't know they were vegan. It's always tricky to hear things are vegan and assume they are vegan in you area as well. Like I once had a really nice chocolate that I really loved and I was told it was vegan but it turned out to be not vegan in the Benelux ? I only figured that out after eating it though..I felt kinda gross... Anyway I do believe there are actually a few other Dutchies here? But yes it's always nice to see some ''locals'' on here, makes you feel a lot less lonely, doesn't it?

You can find it in the meetup section. I would like to see you there too! I mean, in that topic. You can decide yourself if you want to go to the meetup
DaddysMonkey Posted May 10, 2017 Report Posted May 10, 2017 Hello there ! I have noticed a lot of littles who are vegan / becoming vegan. IT MAKES ME SO EFFING HAPPY As a vegan myself , I've collected quite the list of things that are vegan (Little and non-little style) ! When people first start to transition to veganism , or plant based lifestyles I usually suggest going to the PETA website as they typically have a decent list you can skim through for ideas. But I will give you a list of some of my favorites : FRUIT !!! This one is so simple and easy , but people get bored because they don't mix it up. Some of my favorites are , pineapple , strawberries , blueberries , kiwis , jackfruit , peaches , apples ( with PB ) , I could go on forever about fruit ^-^ VEGGIES !!! Cucumber , bell pepper , carrots , potatoes , ect. There are all kinds of dips that are vegan ( even vegan cheese or hummus you can eat with veggies ). This vegan ranch is one of my Daddys' favorites to use on EVERYTHING. Other brands that are vegan and can easily be adapted to "Little-style" food : Annie's Natural worchestershire sauce Back to Nature: all crackersEarth Balance margarineEdward & Sons worchestershire sauce Famous Amos chocolate creme sandwich cookiesFritosGenen unflavored gelatin substituteGimme Lean Sausage StyleGimme Lean Ground Beef Style Leiber's unflavored jel (gelatin)Lightlife Chick'n Ranchero tortilla wrapsLightlife Light BurgersLightlife Original Tofu Pups Lightlife Organic Tempeh Fakin Bacon strips Lightlife Organic Tempeh Flax Lightlife Organic Tempeh Garden Veggie Lightlife Organic Tempeh Soy Lightlife Organic Tempeh Three Grain Lightlife Organic Tempeh Wild Rice Morningstar Farms Grillers Original Vegan Morningstar Farms Grillers CrumblesMorningstar Farms Chicken stripsMorningstar Farms Beef stripsNatural Desserts [vegan gelatin USA/Canada only source]Newman-O's Mint Creme cookiesOetker Simply Organics pudding powderOreo Sandwich Cookies Golden Original Oreo 100 Calorie Pack Thin Crisps Oreo Sandwich Cookies Double Delight Mint'n Creme Oreo Sandwich Cookies Golden Uh-Oh With Chocolate Creme Oreo Sandwich Cookies Halloween Orange Creme Pangea: Vegan Sweet Marshmallows [only ones sold in US]Smart Bacon Smart Breakfast Breakfast Patties Smart Deli Baked Ham style Smart Deli Bologna Style Smart Deli pepperoni slices Smart Deli Santa Fe Chick'n Style Smart Deli Turkey Style Smart Ground (Original)Smart Ground (Taco & Burrito)Smart Menus Meatless Meatballs Smart Strips Chick'n Strips Smart Dogs Smart Dogs Jumbo Smart Patties Burger Style Smart Pretzel Dog Smart Strips Steak Style Strips Smart Links Country Breakfast Style by LightlifeSoy Garden margarineSpectrum Naturals margarineTerra Nostra CHAO Cheeses (Multiple flavors) There are a lot more , but my fingers can only type so much at once ^-^ I can edit this and add more later on. Hope this helps !

As much as I would LOVE to follow your suggestion of going to the website, I, for personal and professional reasons, will never go associate myself with, or have anything to do with PETA, so thats out of the question for me. But thank you for the lovely suggestions!
Little_Smurf Posted May 11, 2017 Report Posted May 11, 2017 Oh and I always forget but there are a few ''normal brand'' crisps that are actually vegan and super yummy as well! Some sweet chili ones and normal taco crips are usually vegan as well. Sometimes I will discover that something is vegan that I didn't know it was and that always gets me super excited. @icetea : Oh, I didn't know there was a Dutch topic. Is that new or am I just a bit stupid? @DaddysMonkey: Oh yeah fruit can be good but I'm always pretty picky. I either totally love a fruit (green kiwis , strawberries, raspberries, lychees or I really really hate it (like orange or mandarine ) 1
LittleBambina Posted May 12, 2017 Report Posted May 12, 2017 Some ideas: - Oreos and other famous vegan-friendly sweets: so good and underrated - Chocolate: yes, vegan chocolate, just find a brand you like and stick to it - Spaghetti with tomato sauce: there are some tomato sauces ready to serve and you don't have to make it from scratch - Peanut butter cookies: peanut butter, banana, sugar and oat flour and you're done - Fruits and/or cut into shapes: use cookie cutters to shape bananas, pineapples, apples, kiwis etc as stars and hearts - Star-shaped and/or heart-shaped fried potatoes: just cut the potatoes into shapes with cookie cutters and fry them as french fries or bake them in the oven. I recommend using vegan butter or olive oil mixed with preferred seasoning to coat them - Pancakes: faux-milk (any plant-based one will do), flour/oat flour and bananas and you're done. You can add sugar, vanilla/almond extract, and cinnamon for extra tastiness (?)
