I thought I'd share some poems I've written in the past.

I've only ever shared them once before, so... :0

Homegrown

i am made of skull and collarbone
of dainty lips, frozen and homegrown
crafted from thistle and candle scents
running down burnt edges and dents

i am made from paper and gold
my fingers nimble, brittle and cold
i am made of gentle frames
living like melting ice on flames

i am made of branch, trunk and leaf
making forest fires for sweet, simple relief
crafted from the space between water and air
conjured from a skinless night, a void too bare

i am made of skull and collarbone
of dainty lips, frozen and homegrown
i am made of breath against shiver
of a pale and soft and quiet quiver

skin will melt like ice

skin is so poetic

the way tan melts into pale
how lips are so unapologetic
or how hair clings on so delicate and frail
how bones are cloaked
with a layer of beauty
tempting, yet not provoked
oh how dare attribute he
the oceanic curves in his hands
clasped by sheer impulse
flushed in pink he stands
a beating, erratic pulse
bursting boundaries bare
rupturing uncertainty
a body without much wear
to be loved for an eternity
skin to melt like ice
breath to shine like stars
skin on skin once and twice

alive in my memoirs

I hope you like them! I tried very hard. If you have any constructive criticism, feel free to tell me! I guess I just want to see how it feels to put things out there. :p
