I don't think the UK is a place with great prospects right now.  Leaving the EU will probably be bad for us economically, and housing prices are very steep.  I always think Canada would be a great place to go, since it has a national health service, it's sort of the best of both worlds of USA and UK, prosperous but with good social benefits.  Failing that, Sweden is very good too, they speak excellent English there as well so you should be able to do fine without knowing the language.

Agreed, Finland also ranks highly amongst good places in Europe and a lot of the Fins speak excellent English too.

I don't think this is quite the right thread to be getting into a debate.


All Simon did was state an opinion, I don't think he was, nor was his intention to be insensitive.


It is clear you feel strongly about this and thats great, just focus that fustration elsewhere.
