Steam game for littles?

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if anyone know of any fun, cute games for littles that can still serve as some sort of mental challenge for someone my age (25). I hate admitting my age, but I have a hard time sometimes just letting go and enjoying games that are too simple. I just want some games that can help me when I am little, but that can keep me focused longer than half a minute.

Any ideas? :3

Love y'all~ ♥

I guess it ultimately depends on what you find mentally stimulating.

I'll suggest Night in the Woods, Slime Rancher, Recettear, Stardew Valley, Undertale, Shantae, Long Live The Queen, Scribblenauts Unlimited, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime. Perhaps you'll like one or two of those!

Thank you for all those examples. I will look into them all ♥ Wonderful people all over this website, not hesitating to help :)

OneShot, my Little and I watched Markiplier play this and it is now one of my favorite stories in gaming, and I haven't even played it myself. It's a very cute game, with a story that pulls at ones heartstrings.

I do second Recettear! I really really love that game! And Stardew Valley , I also really enjoy that. I have had that for like a week and I played it for like...er too much way too much. I also had a kind of zoo tycoon type of game on there that was really cute (although it's very very old) I think it was simply called zoo park. Also Terrarria. And maybe don't starve ? It can be a bit scary sometimes maybe but it's like gothic in a cutesy way if that makes sense? Hmm..there must be a lot more but I can't think of any other games right now..

ABZU(Beautiful looking), FEZ(Pixel adventure), Golf with your friends(Mini golf game), Grow up (its a cute little robot game), Multiplayer's:  Ultimate chicken horse  (It's hard to explain) and Uno! (Fun card game)

Princess Remedy is super cute and also free! (I think the second one is a dollar, too) It looks like an 8-bit RPG, but it's actually a shooting game. You have to heal everybody! (and she has a band-aid on her head, which is super cute.)

I second Night in the Woods and Undertale, which are very story-based. As well as Don't Starve and Terraria, which are more exploring/survival games.

Broken Age is another story-based puzzle game, which is really fun and cool! And there's also Castle Crashers, a side-scrolling fighting game. Portal is... portal. Which is fun if you're into it! You could also play Fallout, which isn't really a game for littlespace necessarily, but it's a good one!

Maybe you'd like the "Grim Tales"! :D

These kind of games are called 'wimmelpicture' I think. They are like a truly interactive version of Dora the explorer in terms of finding stuff, plus they include a variety of mini-games. I find it visually pleasing too.

Hope I could help^^

Okay so I made an account here on ddlgforum just so I could give you my best little game tip: Anarcute! is is so cute and it is about freeing animals and has a super-catchy theme song. Check it out! And I also agree with the ones that has written Night in the woods. :D

I really enjoy Telltale's Minecraft: Story Mode. It's super wholesome and the story is pretty good if you enjoy video games with more of CYOA vibe. It definitely puts me in little space! I also recommend any and all of the Nancy Drew games on Steam. The puzzles are fairly difficult, even on junior detective mode (or maybe I'm just dumb? lol).

Battleblock Theater is a really cute game and the stages can get really difficult to figure out (bonus: it has coop mode!). And I know it's not quite the season for it, but I think the Costume Quest series is great all year (or you could keep it in mind for when fall hits—candy + cider + CQ marathon = Halloween little heaven if you can't go out and do stuff).

Steam also has a whole bunch of 90s educational games such as Pajama Sam, Spy Fox, PuttPutt, Freddie Fish, Zoombinis, BigThinkers, but they are pretty simple. I mostly just play them for the nostalgia to help me get into little space (we're around the same age, so I thought these games might be nostalgic for you as well!).

Scribblenauts is another puzzle game with a cute aesthetic that isn't too terribly simple.

I hope this helps!!
