timeGrenade Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 i don't have an official therapy animal but i would really like one however i do have two kitties that very much improve my mental health!!
babyduckie Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 I have a therapy dog! He's soooo cute. He can tell when I'm sad and protects me in public. He's an aussiedoodle dog, and his name is Opie! I love him so much hehe.
PlumpNekoPrincess Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 (edited) I do indeed. I have a 9 month old chihuahua named Jack. I adopted him from the local shelter in December. I take him with me a lot of the time I have to leave home. He's usually well behaved, and good with staying near me, cuddling, and being content in a basket, but can sometimes get a little rowdy so I can't always take him. Luckily, I've run into another comfort as of recently! Daddy and I are pregnant with our third child and have noticed that my growing baby belly has been able to comfort me as well. I love having my hands rubbing my belly gently, or when daddy does it, and feeling my baby's little movements. Edited April 20, 2017 by ChubbyAsianDolly
PrincessoftheMoon Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 I wanted a therapy dog to help with my disability but being that I don't have the funds to care for a dog and am unable to physically care for it on my own, it wasn't something I could do. I do have a cat, he's not an official therapy animal, not even close but he does help my mental state and I'm thankful for him. Plus, a cat is alot easier for me to care for at the moment.
MountainWillow Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 Ummm, not on purpose, but I do have four kitties, two dogs and a horse! And they all help with different aspects of my life. Animals are soooo soothing and comforting, and provide unconditional love, and if you are lucky, unconditional cuddles!!!!
LittlePupRune Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 My little has a service dog as well an an adorable kitty thats an esa.
Guest Candy Minx ♡ Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 i'm not too sure if you meant self-called therapy animal or an actual registered one but either way i don't have one! i do have an emotional support animal that took me way too long to get her set up as. really only gives me the option to take her on a plane with no extra charge or allows me to have her even in a housing environment where animals aren't allowed.
cuppycakes Posted April 21, 2017 Report Posted April 21, 2017 I have a furry friend, but he's not licensed for therapy or anything. He's a dwarf bunny! He's really cute and always makes me smile (except when I have to clean up his mess haha).
HisuianLilligant Posted June 14, 2017 Report Posted June 14, 2017 I have an ESA named Tarot, she's a kitty I raised myself with a bottle
BluehBear Posted June 16, 2017 Report Posted June 16, 2017 I have a kitty called mini who isn't an official therapy anon but she always snuggles me when I'm sad and sleeps with me. She also knows when I'm sick and sleeps in my lap
LilPetPet Posted June 16, 2017 Report Posted June 16, 2017 Like others have said, my pet isn't a therapy animal but he knows when i am sad and comes to check on me. He is Mr. Bones the babyest cat in the whole wide world. 1
Mintea Posted June 18, 2017 Report Posted June 18, 2017 I wish I could with my cat :c I work at a pet store though so I have so many animals now to keep me company still not the same if I lived with someone though. I'm really glad you have a wonderful and loving animal companion though <3 1
Baby Brookie Posted June 19, 2017 Report Posted June 19, 2017 I have a kitty and I'm in the process of getting a letter from my therapist saying that she's an emotional support animal so that I can take her to college with me.
Lil' Miss Dolly Posted June 19, 2017 Report Posted June 19, 2017 I have a very large, furry, 4 legged security blanket. She's close to 100 pounds so doesn't really fit the Canadian ideal of an ESA but she senses and calms the worst anxiety attacks ever - she's honestly more effective than any drug I have ever been given.
minahbird Posted June 19, 2017 Report Posted June 19, 2017 My nurse wants to see about me getting a service dog for my anxiety because going places scares me.
Guest littlekittenragdoll Posted June 19, 2017 Report Posted June 19, 2017 once daddy and I move in together he said we could get a cat. Or two. Hehe. ^~^
PrincessTimone Posted June 23, 2017 Report Posted June 23, 2017 I've got a tiny little fatty kitty. Shes not registered as a therapy animal but she goes everywhere with me. She makes me much happier. I love her almost as much as daddy .
beksthewisekitty Posted June 24, 2017 Report Posted June 24, 2017 I don't have a trained animal or anything but I have a cat and a dog that will come comfort me every time I am crying or sad. Its like they can sense how I feel. Also petting a kitty during anxiety attacks really helps.
Princess_Starr Posted June 24, 2017 Report Posted June 24, 2017 I kind of do. I had to do all kinds of paper work to have my pupper dog with me in my apartment. I have really bad anxiety and depression and she helps with that. But, I don't have actual doctor papers for her as a therapy animal...
Guest ☽ ᴍᴏɴᴏᴄᴇʀᴏs ☾ Posted June 24, 2017 Report Posted June 24, 2017 It's not officially a therapy animal, but I have a cat. He came to me two years ago when I was in deep depression and he helped me a lot. He accompanies me every day, sleeps with me and although sometimes I get scared, made to sleep on my food and well ... does cat things. I love him very much, I do not know what would have been of my life if he had not come to me.
Guest devilsangel Posted July 29, 2017 Report Posted July 29, 2017 As most people have said mine arent actually licensed therapy animals or anything but i have a dog and a horse who really help me alot!
