Hurt Heart.

Nobody's perfect, but know that she's worth it.

Her heart has been hurt and she doesn't deserve it.

She's certain that nobody cares, for a serpent

Has poisoned her joy so she's bearing this burden.

She's barely aware, and she's wary and weary.

She's treated unfairly, she's scared and she's teary.

She's lost in her memories, sees them unclearly

And wallows in what could have been until bleary.

She's fragile and sort of withdrawn and she's raw.

She's actually sore and distraught and unsure.

She's staggered. She feels as she's fought in a war,

But it happens to be she's worth more than she thought.

She's battered but brave, butterflies in her stomach.

She longs to be loved and she's lovely and loving.

Nobody's perfect. Her strength is just stunning.

Her heart has been hurt, but her destiny's coming.
