What do you do while Daddy is busy?

Here is a question for the Littles! 

What do you guys do while your daddy or mommy is busy?

 

When my daddy is busy, I usually turn into a whiny grumpy potato. I have no clue what to do, I'm like lost without my daddy. But I do sometimes keep my self distracted from the time by watching Disney Movies and coloring.

There are a couple of threads like this recently -- seems to be a theme lately! 

 

I like to have my partner assign me tasks to do while they are away, especially if I'm not busy myself. Apps like Couple and OurHome are really good for stuff like this, whether you live locally with your partner or not! I find a sense of completion and personal satisfactions when I accomplish goals, and goals for a partner make me feel even better! I've also made lists in the past of fun stuff I have to do/watch/read/play because when I'm bored, I always seem to forget all the stuff I have lying around to do! That really helps me too, to be able to look at a list and go "Oh yeah! I haven't played Animal Crossing in forever!"

That's pretty much what I do.

 

Other than that, my partner gives me books that I have to read. It's sort of a punishment since reading isn't the first thing i'd choose to do with my time, but it definitely keeps me entertained while they're gone. I like to game online, since that's a way to be social without actually physically interacting with people. DIY baking and crafts are always a super fun thing to do, even if the end results never looks like the pictures. Then, aside from that, there's always the option to go outside. I go hiking with my cat to the mountains nearby and I can easily blow a few hours. So don't get bummed when you're alone, take it as some "you time" and have fun.

Activity books!!! I have paper dolls, sticker books, coloring books, word searches. I highly suggest looking around on amazon for Melissa and Doug, toooons of great activity books for less than $5.

 

Play! I play with barbies a lot, especially when Daddy isn't home. I get kind of shy if he's in the same room and listening to the stories I make up for my dolls. I also play pretend a lot with my big stuffed animals.

 

I also have tons of hobbies in general. I'm rarely bored or without something to do.
