Guest Posted March 12, 2017 Report Posted March 12, 2017 (edited) I am not a super positive person that has all kinds of motivational quotes hanging around my house or anything like that but one thing I have found that has helped me is to always remember "baby steps". Rather if I am stressed out from studying or if I got yelled at by a roommate, I always remember baby steps. We didn't start off running ,we crawled and then slowly over time took a few steps. It was okay if we fell down on our bums a few times. We always got back up, maybe not that day but eventually we all started to walk and it all started with baby steps. Anytime I get stressed I'll write it down on a sticky note or on a random bit of paper and it always calms me down. I am try today and take a few steps and fall but I know tomorrow I'll start off running. Sorry for the messy all over the place thoughts I just wanted to share this and hope maybe it'll help someone. ^^ Edited March 12, 2017 by Guest 4
Guest ~LittleAlice~ Posted March 12, 2017 Report Posted March 12, 2017 It's a baby steps kinda day here too... I just got "Ugh! What's wrong now?" In response to me telling my hubby that my anxiety was acting up. He apologized of course but it's really frusterating when I haven't had any symptoms (that I've let slip out) for weeks and even still I'm a burden... *sigh* but like you said, baby steps, just gotta keep moving it always gets easier eventually. I find myself singing "just keep swimming" in my head in times like this, I'm going to add baby steps to the mantra too It's a good way of thinking of it, thanks (Sorry for the vent...)

Guest The-Professor Posted March 15, 2017 Report Posted March 15, 2017 Also, perhaps a reminder to a husband, partner, daddy or whomever is that part of the advantage and appeal of being in a little/daddy relationship is that it's wonderful for relieving the stress of daily life. By enjoying the very nature of the daddy role, he is there to help soothe and counteract the stresses the little is experiencing. He has accepted and is enjoying his role but that also entails knowing how to comfort and encourage in those less than ideal times.
