Wasting Time

Recommended Posts

Long story short, right now I just kind of feel like being in littlespace is a waste of time right now (。•́︿•̀。) I don't like feeling like this, and I genuinely enjoy being a little, but my big brain says "you're not accomplishing anything, you need to stop being like this and get something done." so I can't even enjoy myself when I do get the chance.

I've been unusually busy lately, what with school and family and all. I hate feeling like this because I need downtime, too, but I can't ever enjoy myself.

Has anyone else gone through this? How do you overcome it?

well, if u have a daddy i sugggest you just ask him to comfort you and tell you that its ok

i do it with daddy sometimes when i feel like i need to be big but want to be little

i ask him for permission to be little and he helps comfort me and we talk about why i was so stressed

if u don't have a daddy then i suggest just taking a deep breath and reminding yourself that its ok to be little

when your little its your time to get away for everything - just fo ra tiny bit and that thats ok because in the end everyone needs an escape adn a way to calm themselves and this is yours

If you genuinely enjoy being little then it is never a waste of time and you are still achieving something you are enjoying what you do with your life and that is a very important thing to do everyone needs downtime it's what stops us being too overwhelmed

Being little is definitely hand in hand with self-care, especially if that's a way you cope best with stress. It's necessary even if your big brain is on you about it. I go through it all the time and it's important to remind yourself when your big why this is beneficial and helpful. I find that if I write out a few reasons why being little is good for me mentally I can look at it and remember without slipping out of little space that what I'm doing is good for me and that helps me with it.

Sometimes our brains do things it thinks we need, but don't want. Just from an outsider's view, it could be that you are putting a lot of pressure on yourself. As you said, you have school, family, and friends. Maybe your mind isn't going into little space because you are concerned you'll not do something necessary.

Perhaps you can tell people you're feeling overwhelmed or tired, then make sure all classwork is done, and then plan done downtime. I know it sounds easy, but if you try you may be able to relax at least for a few moments.

Thank you all for your responses! I'm trying to set aside time, which is easier now that it's spring break. I never thought of it as self care before, either, even though that's totally what it is! Thank you for your insight :)
