Clothes for (not so little) littles?!

Recommended Posts

I'm a UK size 12-16 (depends on store) with boobs, butt and hips and I find it so difficult getting cute little girlie outfits, skirts or dresses as they all seem to be designed for very dainty, skinny girls. Any girlies here know of stores in the UK or websites where I could find some cute everyday clothes that would fit my body but also look adorable? I like puff skirts and oversized sweaters and pastels and knee high socks (also difficult to find when you're short & chubby - they always roll down as my thighs are big - any ideas?).

I'm confident with my body and my daddy loves it but it's a struggle to dress how I want when I simply can't find anything that's cute and fits a larger girl.

Here's a few examples of things I like (not my pictures):

Any help is very appreciated!

Thank you!!

I get most of my socks from sock dreams. It is an Oregon company and where they don't always have everything in my size but with careful looks, you can find something. They do have petticoats too. For the problem with the thigh highs, I would invest in some elastic garters. I got a snowflake pair from sock dreams. My As for sweaters dress lily has some nice stuff. I am from the us so I don't know if any of this really helps.

Hi, I am shaped like you and want to look just like your photos too. I have looked at sites that offer larger sizes, but don't find the styling that suites for being a little/middle. When I look at some of the little/middle styles, most are in Asian sizes where an XXL is a small Large, unfortunately too small. Unfortunately, I won't be able to offer sites to answer your question directly, but I can give you some styling advice that may put you on a better path to finding what you want by looking for features that make us feel little/middle.

I recently went into a big US retail store and tried some of those looks you included. I had to see that they do not look well on me and am being honest with myself.

But there is hope, if I look at the way certain details and fabrics can give me the looks that are better for me to look pretty as an adult or a little/middle.

Dresses and skirts that start going out in 3 dimension from the body at the waist emphasizes my roundness in the wrong places. I am now looking for feminine floaty fabrics that are pressed and/or sewn down, in gathers/pleats below the waist down that directs the eye to a softly looser hem or those with a ruffle hem. If the look can be a more defined waistline it will give a better balance. I prefer my skirts shorter, a bit above the knee. This is a way I get the floaty feminine feeling, but more fitting to my shape. I have placed pictures below. Now, where can I buy them? Well, that is my mission. A mission I will gladly embrace, because I know that when I find them, they will compliment me and my middle.

As for over the knee socks, here is a vendor on etsy.com that carries queen size over the knee. Maybe you can inquire about other styles?

and below a link to an article that was written with just you an I in mind mentioning brands that may also offer more than over the knee socks to our size gals....they mention www.fullbeauty.com which is a website that brings together lots of plus size clothing manufacturers in one place. I think its a great find all around.

I am going to keep googling to find what I am looking for using these words....queen size, plus size, XXXL....you never know what we will find. Hugs

The two bottom pics are a little flared out, but the waist is defined.

This is the first time I have added a photo from my Gallery, I hope it works.

I tried elastic stockings but I'm looking more for something like cotton socks, would be useful if it had elastic on the inside of them on the top but they're so difficult to find.

I just checked Sock Dreams and they deliver to UK and have a plus size section too so will definitely check it out properly!! Thank you!!

normally like little mary jane shoes like these:

I also find that it's much better for shoes with rounded tip as they look much softer and you don't need fancy, over the top shoes when you have pretty socks!!

And the little strap always looks cute, but I find when I wear knee high socks the main focus I want to be is just that little bit of thighs showing between the socks and the skirt, as that's still sexy but very innocent - and the strap breaks off the shoes from the socks!!

If you're looking for a less girly look combat shoes an look quite cute still, as you really get the contrast between the cuteness of the socks and roughness of the boots:

Hope this helps!!

I have tried a few Asian sites but the same as you I find that I pick an XL and the look at the sizing and I would not be able to fit one leg in it!!  <_<

I always liked tulle skirts but found I could never wear them as you said there aren't many that look good on bigger girls, or fit well enough - that's a very good idea to wear them below the waist, but I often find that the big belt around my waist sometimes makes the look too strong?! I like it to be very flowy and loose and free!!

I also find I feel more feminine when I have a nice floaty skirt around my legs, and I find just above the knee is the most flattering too - it's just long enough to still be innocent but it still shows off a bit of my leg, which is always nice for my daddy!

I'll look around on etsy but I'd prefer to buy more UK based just for delivery sake - ASOS online does some good things too, especially in the marketplace, you do have to shop around if you want to give that a try!

I like that the article starts off with Gossip Girl too - I love that show  :D

Thank you so much!!

Thank you!!!  I have been looking for cute socks forever and Google has repeatedly failed me.  Sock Dreams is EXACTLY what I was looking for.
