Mezgoezrawrz Posted February 3, 2017 Report Posted February 3, 2017 I know to some people this may be a stupid question, but I am curious to know what some of the differences would be between someone who's just childish and an actual little?
Guest Loki Posted February 3, 2017 Report Posted February 3, 2017 Well to me childish people never take responsibility and they don't care about others. A little by contrast is someone who enjoys doing childlike things and has an innocence about them. Anyone can be childish, but only certain people are littles. This is just my view of course. 7
Princess-P Posted February 3, 2017 Report Posted February 3, 2017 Agree with the above post. Being childish means being unable to function as an adult. Refusing to be responsible, never taking the higher ground, putting blame on others, refusing to work hard but expecting things to be handed to them, those are childish behaviors. 3
LittleGirlEmilia Posted February 3, 2017 Report Posted February 3, 2017 Agreeing with the above replies. Being childish is just immaturity, whereas littles can do things when is needed. For example, I'll be my 3 year old self, look at the time, oh, gotta go to work, *puts adult face on* Immature would be, I have a hangover, oh look, work, lol, I'm late haha, day off it is! *Goes to fridge for beer* I'm bad at explaining things, sorry.. xD 2
Mezgoezrawrz Posted February 4, 2017 Author Report Posted February 4, 2017 No, it makes sense to me. I was just getting curious as I'm trying to figure out if I'm just throwing the label "little" around absentmindedly. Or if my over excitement about finding it makes me just try to squeeze everyone into it Xp haha
mylittlesidewearsblack Posted February 4, 2017 Report Posted February 4, 2017 personally, i think being little is about embracing your little side. being childish is just something people do. i choose to be a little because i want to relax and embrace it.
Daddy's_Babygirl Posted February 4, 2017 Report Posted February 4, 2017 Well maybe I'm a poor person to answer as I don't have a little age or age regress but still consider myself a little... I am not what I would call childish however I have a vey innocent child-like personality naturally. I am also a manager and a mother though so perfectly capable of adulting even when I don't want to. Childish for me is a lack of responsibility and inability to adult. Little is a choice which one can control to embrace their inner child with the ability to also be adult when needed. 1
Baby Neko Posted February 4, 2017 Report Posted February 4, 2017 As others have said being a little is more of a choice (though you might feel naturally drawn to it or it may complement your personality) and a childish person is immature and won't take on adult responsibilities. I am childish but I wish I wasn't, whereas I'm proud to be a little. So you could potentially be both.
jellicle baby Posted February 25, 2017 Report Posted February 25, 2017 (edited) I also think childish and childlike are two waaaaaay different things. A regular not little can be childlike, although that does tend to border on "you might be a little and not know it" territory Edited February 25, 2017 by ducky
