Mezgoezrawrz Posted January 27, 2017 Report Posted January 27, 2017 So I've always been an early prep person for holiday's. I've already got Christmas gifts plotted out for some of my family this year. (The earlier the better!) Unfortunately, I've been racking my brain non-stop for what to do this year for Valentines and I've come up with perfectly nothing. Last year I did half a dozen of chocolate strawberry roses, and half a dozen jolly-rancher roses. Set them up in a pretty bouquet and had it all done before he got home. This year, I can't settle on a single thing. I do prefer something edible, otherwise I'm sure whatever I make will just end up lost and/or destroyed. But I don't know what to make. I've thought of doing the samoa pie's or chocolate truffles. None of it just screams perfect to me though. On to the point, I hope no one minds if I ask what they plan on doing for their loves? And hopefully you don't mind if I might steal a few ideas >.>
ButterscotchBunny Posted January 27, 2017 Report Posted January 27, 2017 I wish I could help more, but im not very creative or good at baking, but maybe you can get Ideas from a site like pinterest? I don't like the site myself but I know their is a lot of neat stuff there! I'm not sure what I'll do for valentines if I get a daddy by then. 1
Guest starrykitty Posted January 27, 2017 Report Posted January 27, 2017 What about doing like a cute breakfast or something, you could set the table and have some roses and sprinkle petals all over the table and like maybe a homemade valentines card, and you can get mini breakfast foods like mini croissants and pastries and stuff and heat them up with tea/coffee whatever you guys like drinking and just have a peaceful morning together to start the day of in a positive happy way, plus if he has to go out then at least he'll be thinking about you all day non stop, in the evening you can just have a nice dinner and watch a movie and just spend quality time together??? Just a thought though I not sure what you guys like hope that maybe this kinda helps or at least gives you inspiration for something else 1
Harley_Quinn Posted January 27, 2017 Report Posted January 27, 2017 I'm planning on making daddy some of those pre shaped cookies and giving him special playtime. I dont really have to prepare to far in advanced lol. If I wasn't pregnant i had planned a very special outfit and stuff but can't do it till next year! 1
Sparklefrosting Posted January 27, 2017 Report Posted January 27, 2017 Maybe make a heart shaped pizza together and watch a movie? Or make Alfredo with tomato pasta so it'll be pink and white and then serve it in a red dish. I think it would also be fun to do like an at home spa; bubble bath, couples face masks, and a massage. 1
Daddy's Meg Posted January 27, 2017 Report Posted January 27, 2017 I always make stuff. I have a ton of scrap booking stuff so it's easy to make a card (he keeps every one since we met over a decade ago - how sweet is that!?). My favorite was when I made scratch off love tickets and put them in his card. It's super easy (paint and dish soap is all you need). I wrote extra things like "donut run" or "bacon and pancakes" or "straighten hair." Things he doesn't usually ask for because I don't care for it, but I know he likes. Then he scratched off 3/6 and turned them in whenever. I also made heart shaped bacon before. Chocolate chip cookies, then used heart shaped Cookies cutters on them and dipped the edges of the cookies in chocolate. That was a hit with my whole family. I dunno what I'm doing this year. I'm thinking about making him a three layer cake chocolate cake. He's been hinting at wanting more cake lately. 1
Sweetbabybug Posted January 28, 2017 Report Posted January 28, 2017 Me and my daddy are ldr so I'm making some heart shaped cookies out of clay that I'm going to paint and decorate to send to him. 2
