tumblr communities

Is anyone else on here on tumblr? Because they have like a ton of different communities with very specific guidelines on how to be in them. And some of them are pretty rude.

Personally, not a fan of the DDLG tumblr community. 
 

From the bits I have seen, it seems to be a very uneducated lot with no real experience or education on the matter. More or less, a jumping on the band wagon type of thing. 

 

Which further perpetuates a lot of the bad stigmas about our community. 

 

If you choose to be an active DDLG tumblr-er, just be smart and have thick skin.

I used to have a DDlg blog on Tumblr, but ended up deleting it. At the time, I deleted it because I was no longer participating in that dynamic within my own relationship and I was trying to suppress my little side. Nowadays, I'm really glad I deleted it because it appears that the ddlg and cgl community on tumblr are becoming more and more toxic. As I'm learning to re-embrace my little side, I want to stay as far away from toxicity as possible, so no more tumblr for me.

 

As Spooky said, if you want to hang around tumblr try to be smart and maintain some thick skin. Tumblr isn't what it used to be.

 

Luckily, this site exists and I think it fuels better communication, education, and community for us than tumblr ever really did (in my opinion).

I have a tumblr blog for DDLG. I've noticed the politics within the communities as well, so I try to avoid some of the more hateful users while still being able to reblog their posts somehow undetected.

I have one. I keep it as a blog and ignore the silly stuff (antis, people setting rules on "how to be little" etc). I could care less what others think of my lifestyle at this point though.

 

I enjoy following like minded people. It's like any social media though, good with the bad.

In my opinion, and it's a harsh one, Tumblr is a toxic hugbox of teenagers that can give but they can't take. I cannot stand it, especially with regards to our community. It is filled to the BRIM with underage girls begging older men to 'spank them' and 'give them rules' 'spoil me daddy', people who don't understand the dynamic (and don't care to understand the dynamic) as well as people are who are there simply because DD/lg is aesthetically pleasing, that's fine - if you like the cutesie stylish side to it fine. But I wouldn't call that DDlg. It's dangerous for people there, to be quite honest. Not to mention people vehemently screaming every time an anti-DDlg blog says 'this is gross' instead of just being mature and blocking/ignoring them.

 

Sorry. It just upsets me because it makes the community look really bad...

I kind of have a mixed opinion on tumblr, and the ddlg community within it. I myself have deleted and remade my tumblr bunches of times. But I'm finally sticking to one. 

 

What I find, is that there are a lot of ddlg/cgl tumblrs on there that are very rude and incriminating. I've gotten a lot of hate in the past from some non ddlg tumblrs, where they literally have in their description that if they see someone who is affiliated with ddlg in any way, shape or form, that they won't have it, and they will block you and talk a massive amount of shit about you. 

 

But like every community, website, or fandom etc, you have the good and the bad. Sometimes the bad outways the good and so on and so forth. 

 

My advice to you, is just be very careful who you talk to on tumblr. I've met a lot of nice people, and thats what makes me stay on tumblr. 

 

Good luck with it though! Don't lose faith! Just be careful like I said!

ohh yes you are correct

 

I adore my ddlg tumblr though

and now i just avoid as much drama as possible, try not to read any of it

and try not to interact with rude/intolerant ones

 

it's up to you whether you want to keep going on there

i did have to take a break before because i was reading too much anti-stuff and it was hurting my feelings

but i haven't seen any of it lately.
