prince-of-fluff Posted January 24, 2017 Report Posted January 24, 2017 share in the replies some fun and easy meals for littles who live alone or cant have their caregivers making them meals! ive got one here: cake batter milkshake you'll just need some milk, flavouring (either vanilla or almond or whatever else you have in your cupboards) and some easy icing (can be made with milk + confectioners sugar) just mix it all up in a mixer and you're done! you can also add some ripe fruits if you want or whipped cream!
Guest Bunnyblossom Posted January 24, 2017 Report Posted January 24, 2017 Mashed Taters Peel and dice potatoes Boil until smooshable with the back of a spoon (could be 20-30 mins depending on how big or small you cut them) Drain water out If your taters are cooked properly they should smoosh easily with a fork (or a potato masher) Add milk to get the consistency you're after 1 tsp butter/canola spread Salt to season (Optional) 1 tsp cream cheese spread 'Satay' Noodles (Or veggies if you can't have Gluten) Instant Ramen/Noodle Method Microwave or cook your ramen how you usually would. Drain noodles. Get a microwave safe mug or small bowl. In the bowl put- 1/8 cup water 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce (or sweet soy sauce) 1 tsp Yellow Curry Powder 1 Beef or Chicken noodle flavour sachet 1-2 tsp Peanut Butter (optional) 1 tsp Chilli/Hot Sauce Stir together well. Microwave the sml bowl of sauce just long enough to soften the peanut butter. Pour over noodles and mix. GF steam some veggies and use it with that instead. Fairy Bread Plain white bread works best for this, but only for aesthetics ^^ Take however many slices of bread. Thinly spread butter. Carefully cover with rainbow sprinkles. If it's a bit messy you can pour a layer of sprinkles on a plate and dip the bread butter side down onto the sprinkles instead. Voila! Fairy bread. Chocolate Bananas Get a banana or two. Don't peel it yet! Carefully cut down the inside of the curved side of the banana. Break up some chocolate. Place chocolate inside the banana. Try to close it back up. Microwave or grill until chocolate is melted. Let it cool for 5 mins before you try to eat it. ^^ Tip: Use a spoon and just scoop it out of the skin. Salted Chickpeas (This is a possibly odd one that Daddy and I like) Drain a can of chickpeas. Rinse them well. Place in a bowl. Sprinkle with salt. (but just do a little at a time. taste in between sprinkling ^^) Cheese and Crackers Cheese and crackers is a quick easy snacky thing. You can have thinly sliced cucumber Salami Ham Even smoked salmon Fruit Salad Dice an apple, banana, orange whatever fruit you like! Put it all together in the bowl and stir. Sprinkle a little sugar, maybe 1/2-1 tsp, over and stir again. Enjoy! That's all I can think of. ^^ Idk if you wanted 'Little Specific' stuff. I kept off of things that require lots of chopping or stovetops etc. 2
EbonyKittenPrincess Posted January 24, 2017 Report Posted January 24, 2017 Love this idea ! Microwave brownie that tastes just like oven baked brownie (it is my own recipe and it tastes 100% oven baked and oml I'm gonna make another one) ingredients : - 75g of cooking chocolate - an egg (or 1/2 mashed banana) - sugar to taste - 2 full tbsp of flour (regular or almond flour) - 40g of butter (or coconut/almond oil) - 2 tbsp of milk (regular or almond/vanilla soja milk) - if wanted, chunks of walnuts or pecan or hazelnuts or even almonds - rainbow sprinkles - optionnal : whipped cream Melt the chocolate with the butter/oil. Mix. Add the milk. Mix. Add the sugar. Mix. Add the egg/banana. Mix. And the flour. Mix. Add the chunks. Mix. Pour the batter in a soup-like plate (the batter have to be less than 3 inches thick). Microwave (put 30 seconds and then check up, and do it over and over until it seems good). Sprinkle it with sprinkles or put whipped cream on it then sprinkles. Enjoy ♥ 1
prince-of-fluff Posted January 24, 2017 Author Report Posted January 24, 2017 these are all great recipes so far thanks!!
Daisy_Kitten Posted January 24, 2017 Report Posted January 24, 2017 I dunno if it's just me, but I've had recipes I would eat as a child that I absolutely loooooove now and I love eating them when in little space. There's the original "Ants On a Log" Where you take celery stalks and spread peanut butter (You can use almond, soy, sunflower, NUTELLA, or any other peanut butter substitute) and then decorate it with raisins or cranberries on the top as "ants". I make Creamsicles with 2 squeezed oranges, coconut milk (preferably the full fat because it keeps together better) and then honey to taste. Just mix it together and pour in Popsicle molds. Cheese crackers.... this takes cheese and crackers a step further. You put cheese on crackers, then melt them in the toaster oven. You could even put some ham on it, or maybe tuna salad to have mini tuna melts! Apple Ladybugs is just really apples, pretzel sticks(or alternative), peanut butter(or whatever you use), and raisins. You slice the apple in half, then slice another piece of of the half to make it the base. Then you cut the big piece in half, resulting in two pieces, or "wings" that you stick onto the base with peanut butter. Then, you stick two pretzel sticks as the antenna, and then stick raisins to the apples using peanut butter, to resemble the spots. Its really very cutee!! Another really simple idea is to use little cookie cutters to make shapes with fruit, and have a fruit salad. Watermelon stars are my favoriteeeee!! For lunch sometimes, I just get a big plate, and make a vegetable and fruit platter with a little bit of chicken or ham. But the catch is.... you make it look like a face! It's really fun to see how creative you can get with whatever's in the kitchen If I think of any more, I will definitely post them! I love to cook, I'm always getting yelled at to "Be careful with that knife!!!" buuut it's a passion that I will always have, even in my little space. 1
Guest PrincessKittenBottom Posted January 25, 2017 Report Posted January 25, 2017 When I was young i used to have my mom make my favorite snack, it was called EXPLOSIVE MACARONI. Basically its macaroni with hot dog bits, bacon bits, and an extra melted layer of cheese on top sprinkled with crushed original lays on top. So just boil the macaroni, pan cook/fry the hot dog bits while its boiling, drain the macaroni water when done, add the cheese, add some bacon bits(it tastes better with real bacon but pre-packaged bacon bits work as well), and then when your all done adding the inner ingredients take some shredded cheese and layer the macaroni-hot dog-bacon mix with it and put it in the oven at 350 degrees for about 5-7 minutes or just long enough till the cheese is melted and a little brown. Then take it out, sprinkle it with crushed lays and your all done! Be careful, its hot and Bon Appetit! <3 1
MisterMomo Posted February 10, 2017 Report Posted February 10, 2017 Hiii!! I love food and cooking.. but I burn a lot of stuff... so with mommy we got me plenty of cutters on aliexpress.. in different shapes like bunnies, hippo, bears, flowers, stars... With cutters, you can shape cookies but also fruits, vedgies, cheese, ham, sandwishes, etc!!! Make the plate looks very Little and yummy. And it is funn to do! For the sandwish, I like to take small cutters so it make Tea Party size sandwishes... Pb&J Bunnies are the best! ... 1
Daddy'sKittyStormy Posted October 8, 2018 Report Posted October 8, 2018 I like to make cinnamon pancakes and they are soooo yummy! It works best with Bisquick pancakes but you can use any batter. So basically make the batter and add a splash of vanilla extract and enough cinnamon to make the batter golden brown. Also, I know how to make box cake taste homemade! Just substitute water for half and half, and use veggie shortening instead of oil.
Guest Arc Posted October 9, 2018 Report Posted October 9, 2018 You can use pita pockets to make mini pizzas. Use them whole or cut them in half (through the middle) depending on how thick you like the base, then top them however you want and bake them. I prefer this over standard pizza bases because I don't like how bread-y most bases are. It's also super quick and easy. ^^ Chocolate dipped bananas are amazing. I personally like eating them frozen but that's not for everyone. But you cut a banana in half lengthways, put a popsicle stick in each half, and dip them into melted chocolate and then coat them in any toppings you like. You can use sprinkles or m&ms or... anything, My favoruite is crushed nuts. Pinterest is always my go to for recipes. You could search for easy recipes, or fun recipes for kids or something (to find something both easy and appealing to littles) and you'll probably find heaps ^^ 1

Add the egg and mix thoroughly. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate chips and vanilla extract and mix again. Put the mug in the microwave and cook on high for 2 minutes.
