pet/kitten play starting off xo

hello,

ive recently been starting to get into kitten play and i wanted to know how everyone started? its hard to feel valid when you dont have proper gear and you have no one to talk to. did you make your own gear? how did you become more comfortable with yourself? i am having trouble with starting off as i dont feel 'kitten' enough to take part in kitten play.

I started by being called Kitten I've been slowly buying gear though.

I've been comfortable as a kitten as long as I remember being a kitten (I do have other petspaces I have branched into). I act like it in public sometimes now that I'm a little bolder, mostly just merring/hissing/ meowing or pawing for attention, maybe getting frustrated and threatening to bite. I have several different ears and a tail plug for kittenspace. While gear does make me feel more kitten it's not required. As a kitten you don't have to drop money (especially if you're in a rough patch) on gear if you don't want to. I find being reassured or called a pretty kitty makes me more comfortable. My owner/daddy/master calls me kitt. He used to use kitty, kitkat, or kitten but I want to change my name and the new middle name would be kitt. So it's a cute nickname we use that helps me get into kittenspace. If kitten doesn't work for you then get creative and find what you do prefer. Maybe something that you associate with kittens like maybe be called Marie from Aristocats. 

 

Also keep in mind kitten stuff doesn't just have to be ears/ a tail. here are a few ideas of stuff that might help you feel more kitten:

-bowls to eat/drink out of

-treats

-toys to play with (lasers, feathers, I love laying on my back while master dangles his hand over me and I try to get the hand)

-cuffs (I make these myself, along with collars. things with bells maybe)

-a large pet bed on the floor 

-depending on how much you get into it a potty pad/litter box I guess? 

-I want to make bodysuits/romper type things for each space at some point

-paw gloves

 

 

also certain actions make me more feel more kitten:

-rubbing against his legs

-licking

-randomly biting

-pawing at things

-crawling around

-laying beside him on the couch, my head resting in his lap to be petted

-having my hair played with. 

-naps

-laying in sunspots

-fish. love eating canned tuna 

 

 

also I don't want to be rude but I just wanted it to be said. Being a kitten shouldn't be something you have to force. It has become more popular as a trend and people sometimes just band wagon it instead of truly being a kitten, or just do it for aesthetics. There's not a rulebook saying that's not allowed or anything but true kittenplay/.petplay can be very rewarding.

well I've been pretending to be an animal my entire life so I guess i can't really relate to starting off

 

but it would help to get into sub space mind set or little mind set, which ever

 

and try making animal noises

and wearing a collar? 

you can walk on all fours if you want... i dont do that much, I'm a puppy girl (inumimi) so i relate to being human and dog at the same time.

but if you do want to play animal, you can eat out of bowls and no talking.

 

always ask for head petting and scritches

 

oh and happy puppies wag their butt! woof!!
