Thank you so much! I'm excited for this time in my life. I think in 6 or so months I'll finally start being the person I really want to be.

Good luck, Princess! I'll be joining you in trying to achieve body-related goals. I really like the chart you made!

I'm 24 years old, I'm 1,62m tall (About 5'3 in the non-metric system?) and I weight about 57-58kg (125,5-127,5lbs).

I used to be slightly overweight (70kg or 155lbs) when I was 16, I lost a lot of weight in the positive sense when I was 18, and I struggled with eating problems for quite a while after that. Right now, I'm way more happy with myself and my body than I used to be, but I'm still insecure about it and I want to work on that. Both mentally, to actually believe that I'm okay the way I am, but at the same time I know I can still achieve some things physically, not necessarily by losing weight (I have a healthy weight as far as I know, I haven't been on a scale for a while) but by toning up my body and gaining muscle. So exchanging fat for muscle, really. I also want to strengthen my upper arms so I can hold positions in which my arms are behind my back longer without causing pain.

Things I'm doing right now: not eating candy or junk food snacks throughout the week, only during weekends (and even then, not a lot). Drinking at least 1 liter of water a day. Daily exercises to avoid my shoulders getting cramped up, ab exercises (currently on day 6 of the 30-day crunch challenge) and arm exercises with dumbells both to strengthen my arms and to avoid my shoulders getting stuck.

I want to achieve a better posture, too, considering that's part of the problem with my shoulders (causing headaches) and with my belly (the muscles aren't being activated enough so my belly protrudes quite a bit, so even though there's not too much weight on it, it doesn't look/feel nice as far as I'm concerned).

Goal image is something like this, though I don't know if I'll be able to achieve a belly quite as flat as that :p(Edit: Okay, I didn't know the image was going to be this big, I'm not sure how to fix that, though... sorry for the huge image!)

Starting Monday I may put out my daily health log here. If others want to as well, that would be pretty cool! We could compare notes and what not. Also gardening is a really great workout! Soon I will be strong, like Bull! (Both the animal and this forum's resident farmer c:)

I'm thinking about buying a gym pass and getting fit, so I thought it was a good idea to share it :)

I'm 22 years old ( I still feel like I'm 21 tho)

I'm 5'0 and I think I'm about 155-160 lbs. It's been a long time I didn't looked at my weight.

I used to be around 120-130 lbs four years ago, and really loved my body shape of this time.

But I stopped working while standing, eating more to feel less stress and started pregnancy contraception.

I, too, had to make my own food and I'm not eating healthy.

Principaly, I want to return to my size of 4 years ago, because it was the healthiest body I got.

I know I personnally can do it and after that, I'm going to see.

Anybody play on xBox fitness? I just set it up today and it was actually pretty cool. It gives you all sorts of mini-goals so it's a very rewarding experience~

My goal for the year is to finally tone up because I've not exactly been fat but I'm casually aware that with just a little work over the course of a year I can actually go from fairly average to 'pretty impressive'

I don't have a set weight, because a) I have absolutely no clue how to work it out because muscle density makes everything strange and B) I'm fairly happy with my body as it is, it's just nicer to notice the progress once in a while.

So I've been keeping myself active all year since my new years resolution in January. Gym once a week, a 10 minute jog twice a week and I try to do 50 press ups and 20 sit ups every two days.

So any advice to anyone trying to lose weight is to not cut out snacks completly, they're great for treats every now and again and give yourself one cheat day where you can pig out. Sure it makes weight loss/muscle gain slightly harder over a longer period but it's more likely to keep you into a fitness schedule which will seriously help you in the long run! Going crazy for one month and then quitting isn't going to do anything in the long run but being just a little healthier is a decision you'll look back on in 2-3 years and go "wow this was a good idea"

This used to be me so hard. Even though I've been trying to lose weight for years, it wasn't until this last year that I actually have. It's because I took a chill pill- I didn't obsess over fitness/calorie count/activity level like I normally would have. I just knew my over all limits and fell somewhere within them. I exercised because I knew I should, not because I was desperately striving for x# of calories burned or whatever. I think it's better for your mind and your body to take it slow  :)

Yep, it's super easy to go "twenty minutes and I've only burned 100 calories? that's like a slice of bread :(" ignoring that the body is an insanely complicated thing and technically you burn calories just by breathing.

Also, one more thing, if you're trying to go for muscle GAIN please don't diet as well, just remember to eat healthily. The biggest mistake I did was back when I was 20 and was excercising super hard but also dieting so I wasn't eating enough for my muscles to actually grow so all that excercise was completely worthless. Since I've started to be smart with my eating and excercising I've noticed my abs getting much more toned and refined and I'm much stronger than I've ever been, and so much more healthier.

All very true. I think my BFP is too high at the moment to focus on muscle gain, but once I lose the fat I wish to lose, I will keep that in mind for sure c: I'm not sure if I'd rather eat at a surplus or at maintenance to gain muscle though~

Introduction Suggestions: I used to be really into fitness about a year ago, I used to do lots of weights and loved it! Sadly, I slipped back into my old ways and undid all of my hard work. I hope to get back to where I used to be. I've learned a lot from bodybuilding.com but I have all of this info and no body to show for it, it's pathetic...

Oh my gosh Elle, you're a mind reader! I was looking all over the internet for that picture to use for my Goal Body, and I could not find it for the life of me. I hope we both achieve our goal soon enough ♥

I'm 5'4", 33 and 155 lbs. not concerned with weight at all. My goals are to get to 18-20% body fat, be able to clean/clean and jerk my bodyweight, squat 1.5 times bodyweight and deadlift 3.5 times bw. I also am aiming to do my special core exercises regularly, I'm so bad at doing them. I have a doastasis recti that is almost closed but my abs and connective tissues are still super weak. Yuck.

Switching from low carb primal eat when you're hungry diet to one that's more calorie deficient. Willing to take a little loss in muscle to lower body fat. Aim to up my gym attendance and go regularly. (I do crossfit and martial arts currently)

For those of you interested in achieving a perfect butt, look at Bret Contreras, the glue guy. He's even got a book "strong curves" his moves have made by booty sooooo much better.

Age: 26

Measurements: Height: 5'5 Starting Weight: 320 Current Weight: 287

Goals: Current Goal is to get below 250 Final goal is around 180.

Your Inspiration: I am really my own inspiration but the thing that sparked me other than my health not going so well was actually getting a picture with one of my favorite actors (John Barrowman) and I hate the picture. I look terrible in it. It was one of the happiest days of my life and I won't display the picture that shows it because of how much I dislike how I look. This sparked my first chunk of the weight loss which went from 320 to 270. I have since gained back to 287 through laziness and now I am going back on track.

Due to thyroid issues and PCOS causing havok with how my weight loss goes I follow a Ketosis plan limiting my carbs to below 25g for the first three weeks and raising it to 40g there after. I have a hard time with this due to how much I love potatoes. XD

Picture of Goal Body I won't post this cause I just want to be better and feel better.

One of the best things to do for fitness sake is to play! Yes, play! I just read an article about playing outside as an alternative to boot camps, etc. playing can take many forms, but are the things you did as a child without being hooked to gaming devices. (Moderation!). Biking, kickball, clbing on jungle gyms, etc. Tennis is great and don't forget swimming. Just goofing off in the pool is fun.. & exhausting. Of course, I get bored going to the gym. (Short attention span) :p

My two cents !

I'm about 250 right now and I'm hoping to lose enough weight (and gain enough muscle) to enlist in the Marine Corps.
