Bahahaha...this thread popped up as a preview on the side bar, but all I saw was OP's name (Child of Light).

I was like, "I mean, I'd be flattered...but I'm not sure that it'd be the most appropriate for this dynamic..."  🤣🤣🤣

@MissNMTX  Huh...it's clever, I'll give you that.  But nah, I'm gonna go with Dark Lord.  Or maybe Darth Daddy if I'm really giving into my dark side 😈 😛

Because I had a discussion once about that I thought it could be of use to someone, so I reply it to make it visible.
Personally i've been called: daddy, dada, papi, sir. I like them all

Oto sama (or oto chan) is daddy in Japanese.

Onii chan is brother.

Anh is a popular way to refer to your SO in Viet (sounds more like Ang).

call me crazy…. but i would prefer to just call my partner by their first name. and most of the time that’s what i prefer to be called. but that’s just me, and apparently i am an outlier.

i love that you were vulnerable enough to ask such a personal question. i try not to go about life comparing myself to others but i often find myself curious….

I have more recently became more comfortable with being called Daddy with partners who enjoy doing so. Before that however, my name has a more formal version that is more serious than what more casual friends call me and some family which can be very respectful and in the role, Also I do enjoy Sir and/or Ser a real lot myself. Always gotta capitalize it when writing it out as well, unless they're trying to be a brat!

My S/o and I have PTSD related to child abuse and we both refuse to call him Daddy. So far, I've nicknamed him Boss or Lifeboss. But trying to find something that fits us :) Does anyone else use something other than Daddy? Xx
Thanks in advance xxxxxx

EDIT: As of May of 2018 -- we are starting to come to like the Daddy term :)

Ahhhh!!! I love Kingzy! In my culture King and Queen is used as therapeutic medicine to the shared history of diaspora and oppression. I have heard Queenie but never Kingzy. I am stealing that and sticking it in my Hello Kitty purse.
