Try not to stress yourself out. He could go in either direction, but considering you guys have been together for 7 months, there's a greater chance of him accepting your little side. If he doesn't, it doesn't necessarily mean you have to break up. If he doesn't accept you, try to come to some sort of compromise, something that will keep you happy and keep him happy.

Him "looking into it" is not a good idea. He's going to be given information that is misleading or flat out wrong. It could leave him with a very bad impression of what you want.

 

Your best rout is to tell him flat out what you want. If he's not agreeable to it then oh well. Either accept that and keep the relationship going with no expectation he will ever be involved in CG/l or make the choice to break up.
