Pedicures/Manicures

Hello! So... I'd like some opinions on the topic. Here's what I've got.

Note; I did grow up in a nail salon, my great grandmother, my grandmother and my mother all worked in one. From the time I was aware and before I could stay at home alone I spent after school listening to the women bicker with each-other for hours. A story... Just after I learned to read I was in the salon bathroom and saw a sign that said "Don't flush tampons!". So I go out and I ask my mom while she's working on a client "Mom, what's a tampon?" and all the women in the whole salon start laughing. Then I'm standing there embarrassed and she says she'll tell me later, but never did of course... Also, I spent a lot of my time looking at the magazines and got a false sense of what an average female body type is and a better than average fashion sense.

For me personally I like it when littles have trimmed nails with no polish, or chipped or worn polish. An actual prfessional manicure is a huge turn-off. The way I see it only mature older women get acrylics, etc... Long perfectly manicured nails are not 'cute'.

Daddy pedicures; I wouldn't say it's the most masculine of activities. I don't personally get them. I don't let anyone touch me past a good hug unless it's my partner, it's about personal space and preservation of an intimacy.

Little Pedicures; That would depend on your feet and how you treat them. For example, the difference between a computer programmers hands and a construction worker. Use a clean bath and R/O filtered water with magnesium sulfate and ascorbic acid for the soak. A good daddy should be taking care of this anyway.

I absolutely love having my nails done professionally with acrylics! I personally call them my "qt claws".

To note, my little space isn't age defined as I'm more of a babygirl by nature so when it comes to my nails and toes, I'm into the more pretty and cute aspects of things and less "kiddy" or matronly/mature. I'm not terribly fond of clipped nails and chipping polish or french manicures on my person, to sum it up.

That and my nail artist is such a hoot! I love to shoot the shit with him and geek out over comic related media.

Oh, but yes! Here's some of my past acrylics that are my favorites and to also give a better idea of what I'm trying to describe:

I also have a tag on my tumblr dedicated to just nail art inspo for those times when I just can't jostle any pretty ideas from my noggin: #goals: qt claws

I'm the same with my toesies too! If I have the disposable income for it, I'll have professional pedicures with a matching color palette as my nails. Otherwise, I'm looking into DIY foot soaks and some glittery polish to paint the piggies with.

I'm most likely misreading the "Daddy Pedicures" subject but I'm going to touch on both interpretations of it.

Daddy grooming! I'm a sucker for a well put together fella so them getting a mani/pedi is swoon worthy. It's such a relaxing and cleansing experience that shouldn't be restricted by silly gender notions. Some bear of a man isn't going to lose masculinity points just because he likes his feet to not look like gnarled tree stumps, hee!

Pedicures from Daddy, hmm! It's a good excuse on his part to start a tickle fight; whatta vulnerable advantage point! Though I'm not one to turn down a good little foot rub and watch a guy fumble with a bottle of nail polish. It's too precious! It's also such an intimate activity despite how silly it may turn out.

I manicure my hands myself. Just with filing mainly, and coconut oil keeps them really soft. I keep my nails super short, I can't stand long nails on me, and my fingers are almost immaculate. I like the chipped polish look too, in dark colours. I just let it grow out and apply new polish on top of the old tho :D

My feet don't get much attention tho lol

If i could afford to get acrylics done regularly I would but right now it's not possible. There are just so many cute ways to get your nails done! I'm not very good at painting my own so I don't, I just try to keep them relatively uniform in length and shape with a nail file.

I love pedicures, but again, can't afford them regularly. I have really thick calloused heels and stuff because I'm a bare foot person all the time that I can get away with it so having them really get the callouses off makes me feel much better and prettier.

My Daddy enjoys pedicures too, it feels good and that's all that matters. He's fine with his masculinity and when we can go get them together we do.

I'm a pure DIY type of person, so I've got the whole set up at home. It's a lot of work sometimes, especially since I can't handle fake nails, so I have to keep my own nails healthy and make sure they're fairly strong. Not to mention doing the pretty designs requires fairly long nails, so I could certainly poke an eye out Xp All and all, my Bear Man loves it when my nails are done and pretty, as he loves it when I dress up for him in general!

My feet are also pretty well kept, but that's a personal thing. I don't like it when I feel my feet scratching against anything really, but I can understand how tough that can be too since I prefer to run around barefoot. All and all, the whole process can be a pain some days, but my Bear loves it so I love it too!

As a self-care activity, all the girls in my polycule who live locally go for manicures every two weeks and a pedicure once a month. We all like gel a lot because it helps grow out the natural nail without using acrylics. I usually go for extremes; incredibly dark colors or incredibly pale and light ones. I also dig the chipped nail polish look, but only if I can fix them later!

I do like pampering myself and pedicure/manicure are my favourite procedures. I love nail polish, and have a huge collection of my 2 favorite brands: Zoya and F.U.N Lacquer. Recently have tried holographic nail polish by F.U.N Lacquer and it looks unbelievably cool, especially on the sunshine
