How can I get my boyfriend to be into the whole dd/lg thing?

I suggest an elaborate ruse involving your best friend, his best friend, a monkey and at least three comical misunderstandings that lead to the inevitable rom-com conclusion of love conquering all any you both living happily ever after.

 

If you can't get a hold of a well trained monkey I suggest the boring (yet reliable) method of talking to him.
